Vice-Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob has said that teachers, employees and students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur will help the flood affectees battling heaving flood damages. The Vice-Chancellor expressed this while talking to Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, the focal person of the campaign run by the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and volunteer students. The Vice-Chancellor said that due to the recent rains and the flood situation, the districts of Rajanpur and Rahim Yar Khan in Southern Punjab have been greatly affected. There was widespread destruction in Sindh province and Balochistan. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur stands with its flood affected brothers and sisters in this difficult time. On the direction of the Vice-Chancellor, a campaign for the flood affectees has been started in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Under this campaign, funds and relief materials will be collected to help the flood affectees and will be delivered to the flood affected areas. Volunteer students of the university will actively participate in this campaign and participate in this national campaign. He said that under the supervision of Rahim Yar Khan Campus Director Umair Ashraf, relief activities have started in the river areas of Rahim Yar Khan and ration, medicines and other supplies are being delivered to the flood affectees. Similarly, a campaign to collect funds is being conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdul Wajid Khan, Chairman, Department of Media Studies and a charity show will also be organized to collect funds. Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof Dr. Athar Mahboob appealed to the teachers, employees, philanthropists and students to support the flood affectees in this difficult time and help them as much as possible.

وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے کہا ہے کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے اساتذہ، ملازمین اور طلبا ء وطالبات مصیبت کی اس گھڑی میں سیلاب متاثرین کی بھرپور مدد کریں گے۔ وائس چانسلر نے اس بات کا اظہار سیلاب متاثرین کی مدد کے لیے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کی جانب سے چلائی جانے والی مہم کے فوکل پرسن پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا اور رضاکار طلباء وطالبات سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کی۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ حالیہ بارشوں اور ان سے پیدا ہونے والی سیلابی صورتحال کے باعث جنوبی پنجاب کے اضلاع راجن پور اور رحیم یار خان بہت متاثر ہوئے ہیں۔ صوبہ سند ھ اور بلوچستان میں وسیع پیمانے پر تباہی ہوئی۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اس مشکل گھڑی میں اپنے سیلاب زدگان بھائی بہنوں کے ساتھ کھڑی ہے۔ وائس چانسلر کی ہدایت پر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں سیلاب متاثرین کے لیے مہم کا آغاز کر دیا گیا ہے۔ اس مہم کے تحت سیلاب متاثرین کی مدد کے لیے فنڈز اور امدادی سامان جمع کیا جائے گا جسے سیلاب زدہ علاقوں تک پہنچایا جائے گا۔ یونیورسٹی کے رضا کار طلباء وطالبات اس مہم میں بڑھ چڑھ کر حصہ لیں گے اور اس قومی مہم میں شریک ہوں گے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ رحیم یارخان کیمپس ڈائریکٹر عمیر اشرف کی زیر نگرانی رحیم یار خان کے دریائی علاقوں میں امدادی سرگرمیوں کا آغاز ہو گیا ہے اور سیلاب متاثرین تک راشن، ادویات اور دیگر سامان پہنچایا جا رہا ہے۔ اسی طرح شعبہ میڈیا سٹڈیز کے سربراہ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالواجد خان کی زیر نگرانی فنڈز جمع کرنے کی مہم چلائی جا رہی ہے اور فنڈز اکٹھا کرنے کے لیے چیراٹی شو بھی منعقد کیا جائیگا۔ وائس چانسلرانجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے اساتذہ، ملازمین، مخیر حضرات اور طلباء وطالبات سے اپیل کی کہ سیلاب متاثرین کا اس مشکل وقت میں ساتھ دیں اور زیادہ سے زیادہ ان کی مدد کریں۔
