The Directorate of office of research and Innovation and commercialization organized a one day session on "Bridging the gap between Academia & Industry". Prof. Dr. Zafar A. Siddiqui, Director ORIC, ISRA University, Hyderabad, highlighted the mediating role of ORIC in an academia-industry relationship. He emphasized the importance of participation of industry personnel not only in the ORIC steering committee but also in the curriculum development committees, final semester projects granting and evaluation fora and other allied activities as well. Faculty members from various faculties including, Faculty of Computing, Management Sciences, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Veterinary, Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Social Sciences and IBBB participated in the session. In the closing remarks, Director ORIC, IUB, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Atif appreciated the active participation of the audience. He confesses that the research publication aspect of the university is getting stronger, however, the shifting of momentum towards innovation and commercialization is the need of the hour to contribute in the economy. He, further, ensured the support of ORIC to create a strong nexus between academia and industry in the days down the lane to emancipate a new era for research, innovation and commercialization.

ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف اورک اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں اکیڈمیا اور انڈسٹری کے درمیان روابط کو فروغ دینے کے لیے ایک روزہ سیمینار کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ظفر اے صدیقی، ڈائرکٹر اورک، ISRA یونیورسٹی حیدرآباد نے خصوصی لیکچر دیا۔ انہوں نے اکیڈمیا اور انڈسٹری کے تعلقات میں اورک کے ثالثی کردار کو اجاگر کیا۔ انہوں نے نہ صرف اورک اسٹیئرنگ کمیٹی میں بلکہ نصاب کی ترقی کی کمیٹیوں، فائنل سمسٹر کے منصوبوں کی منظوری اور تشخیص کے فورم اور دیگر متعلقہ سرگرمیوں میں بھی صنعتی عملے کی شرکت کی اہمیت پر زور دیا۔اس سیشن میں فیکلٹی آف کمپیوٹنگ، مینجمنٹ سائنسز، فارمیسی، ایگریکلچر، ویٹرنری، فزیکل اینڈ میتھ میٹیکل سائنسزاورسوشل سائنسزکے اساتذہ نے شرکت کی۔ڈائریکٹر اورک اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پورپروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد عاطف نے حاضرین کی فعال شرکت کو سراہااور کہا کہ وائس چانسلر انجینئرپروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کے ویژن کے مطابق یونیورسٹی کی تحقیقی اشاعت کا پہلو مضبوط ہو رہا ہے، تاہم معیشت میں اپنا حصہ ڈالنے کے لیے جدت اور کمرشلائزیشن کی طرف رفتار کوبڑھا نا وقت کی ضرورت ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ تحقیق، اختراعات اور کمرشلائزیشن کے لیے ایک نئے دورکا آغاز کرنے کے لیے تعلیمی اور صنعتی اداروں کے درمیان مضبوط تعلقات کے لیے اورک کا کلیدی کردار ہے۔اس سلسلے میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور بہت فعال انداز میں آگے بڑھ رہی ہے۔
