Ph.D. Scholar Successfully Defends Doctoral Research Under the Supervision of Prof. Dr. Nasreen Akhter at IUB

Bahawalpur, July 14, 2026: Mr. Muzaffar Hussain, Ph.D. scholar in the Department of Education at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), successfully defended his doctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nasreen Akhter, Dean, Faculty of Online and Distance Education, and Chairperson, Department of Special Education, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
Mr. Muzaffar Hussain presented and successfully defended his doctoral research titled, “Evaluation of Existing Facilities in Special Education Institutions for Special Needs Students and Its Impact on Teachers’ Performance.” The study comprehensively evaluated the existing facilities available in special education institutions across Punjab, identified major deficiencies, and examined their impact on teachers’ performance. It also offered evidence-based recommendations for improving the quality and effectiveness of special education services.
The open Ph.D. defense was chaired by Prof. Dr. Irshad Hussain, Dean, Faculty of Education. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ramzan, Chairperson, Department of Education, along with faculty members, research scholars, and distinguished guests, attended the defense. Dr. Farhia Sohail, Assistant Professor at Women University Multan, served as the External Examiner. The viva voce concluded successfully, and the examiners highly commended the scholarly quality of the research, the candidate’s confident presentation, and his well-reasoned responses throughout the defense.
On the occasion, the Dean, Faculty of Education, and the Chairperson, Department of Education, congratulated Mr. Muzaffar Hussain on his successful Ph.D. defense. They highly appreciated the exceptional supervision, academic guidance, and mentorship provided by Prof. Dr. Nasreen Akhter.
