The Pink Ribbon Youth Awareness Seminar 2025, organized by the Women Health Care Center and Maternity Home at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur highlighted the critical importance of breast cancer awareness among young people. The Director, Consultant Gynecologist at women health Dr. Safeena Sidiq welcomed all the dignitaries and thanked the teams of organizing committees including Directorate of Student affairs and stressed upon the self-breast examination methods for early detection and availability of master trainers and ultrasound machine at women health care center. The seminar was graced by Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences as the Chief Guest. Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti emphasized the alarming rise of breast cancer in Pakistan and the need for awareness. She further appreciated the efforts of the Women Health care team for their contributions in health promotions by educating the youth, giving different in-house consultations Gynecological, ultrasound, general and pediatric. Keynote speaker Dr. Farhat-Ul-Ain Tayyaba, a general and breast reconstructive surgeon from Quaid Azam Medical College, discussed early detection techniques, while Dr. Samina Ejaz, Additional Director of Women Health, highlighted the role of research in early detection. Dr. Zarmina Irum and Dr. Sheema, participated in the discussion on breast cancer awareness and prevention. Prof. Dr. Nasreen Dean faculty of Special education, Dr. Samar Fahad, Dr. Noveen Javed, Dr. Ambreen, Dr. Amber, Dr. Misbah Nosheen were also present. The event aimed to educate youth about breast cancer risks, symptoms, and the importance of self-examination and regular check-ups. By promoting awareness and early detection, the seminar sought to empower young people to take proactive steps in protecting their health and supporting those affected by breast cancer morally and financially.

بہاولپور (پ ر) اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں وومن ہیلتھ کیئر سنٹر اور میٹرنٹی ہوم کے زیر اہتمام خواتین میں چھاتی کے کینسر سے متعلق آگاہی کے لیے پنک ربن یوتھ سیمینار منعقد کیا گیا۔ ڈائریکٹر، کنسلٹنٹ گائناکالوجسٹ برائے خواتین صحت ڈاکٹر سفینہ صدیق نے تمام معززین کا خیر مقدم کیا اور انتظامی کمیٹیوں بشمول ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف سٹوڈنٹس افیئرز کی ٹیموں کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے خواتین کی صحت کی دیکھ بھال کے مرکز میں موجود جدید سہولیات سے آگاہ کیا۔ سیمینار کی مہمان خصوصی ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی تھیں۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی نے پاکستان میں چھاتی کے کینسر کے خطرناک حد تک بڑھنے اور آگاہی کی ضرورت پر زور دیا۔ کلیدی مقرر ڈاکٹر فرحت العین طیبہ، جنرل اینڈ بریسٹ ری کنسٹرکٹیو سرجن قائد اعظم میڈیکل کالج نے جلد تشخیص لگانے کی تکنیکوں پر گفتگو کی، جبکہ ڈاکٹر ثمینہ اعجاز، ایڈیشنل ڈائریکٹر وومن ہیلتھ نے چھاتی کے کینسر سے متعلق تفصیلی روشنی ڈالی۔ ڈاکٹر زرمینہ ارم اور ڈاکٹر شیما نے چھاتی کے کینسر سے متعلق آگاہی اور بچاؤ کے موضوع پر گفتگو میں حصہ لیا۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نسرین ڈین فیکلٹی آف سپیشل ایجوکیشن، ڈاکٹر ثمر فہد، ڈاکٹر نوین جاوید، ڈاکٹر عنبرین، ڈاکٹر امبر، ڈاکٹر مصباح نوشین بھی موجود تھیں۔ اس تقریب کا مقصد خواتین کو چھاتی کے کینسر کے خطرات، علامات، اور خود معائنہ اور باقاعدگی سے چیک اپ کی اہمیت کے بارے میں آگاہ کرنا تھا۔
