Bahawalpur (P) Dean Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Khalid Mansoor participated in the meeting organized by the Federal Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination and Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council. In the meeting, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal while talking to the heads, vice-chancellors and deans of veterinary institutes across Pakistan said that they are well aware of the problems of veterinary institutes and to solve the problems faced by these institutes on a priority basis. He said that the biggest challenge in the field of veterinary education is to align the curriculum with the requirements of the modern era and to develop the links between academia and industry to prepare people with the required skills. According to him, the role of the veterinary sciences sector is very important in achieving the national development goals, while the veterinary education curriculum needs to be aligned with the modern scale of the fourth industrial revolution. He further said that the government has developed a 7-point framework with the help of the Higher Education Commission in 2023, while urging the Higher Education Commission to introduce performance audits in our educational institutions. Further, he said that we can boost our poultry, dairy, livestock industry by increasing our production.

بہاول پور (پ) ڈین فیکلٹی آف ویٹرنری اینڈ اینیمل سائنسز، اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر خالد منصور نے وفاقی وزارت بین الصوبائی رابطہ اور پاکستان ویٹرنری میڈیکل کونسل کے زیر اہتمام منعقدہ اجلاس میں شرکت کی۔ اجلاس میں وفاقی وزیر احسن اقبال نے پاکستان بھر کے ویٹرنری اداروں کے سربراہان، وائس چانسلرز اور ڈین صاحبان سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ وہ ویٹرنری انسٹی ٹیوٹس کے مسائل سے بخوبی آگاہ ہیں اور ان اداروں کو درپیش مسائل کو ترجیحی بنیادوں پر حل کرنے کے لئے پرعزم بھی ہیں۔ اجلاس میں انکا کہنا تھا کہ ویٹرنری ایجوکیشن کے شعبے کا سب سے بڑا چیلنج نصاب تعلیم کو جدید دور کے تقاضوں سے ہم آہنگ کرنا اور اکیڈیمیا اور انڈسٹری کے درمیان روابط کو استوار کرکے مطلوبہ استعداد کے حامل افراد کار کو تیار کرنا ہے۔ انکے مطابق قومی ترقی کے اہداف کے حصول میں ویٹرنری سائنسز کے شعبے کا کردار نہایت اہم ہے، جبکہ ویٹرنری تعلیمی نصاب کو چوتھے انڈسٹریل انقلاب کے جدید پیمانے کے ساتھ ہم آہنگ کرنے کی ضرورت ہے۔انکا مزید کہنا تھا کہ حکومت نے 2023 میں ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن کی مدد سے 7 نکاتی فریم ورک تیار کیا، جبکہ ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن کو تاکید کی کہ ہم اپنے تعلیمی اداروں میں پرفارمینس آڈیٹ لے کر آئیں۔ مزید براں، انکا کہنا تھا کہ ہم اپنی پیداوار میں اضافہ کرکے اپنی پولٹری، ڈیری، لائیوسٹاک کی صنعت کو فروغ دے سکتے ہیں۔
