The Faculty of Chemical & Biological Sciences, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, marked an important milestone in strengthening industry–academia collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding between The Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Reign Group of Companies, Karachi. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, and Reign Group of Companies Chairman, Farhan Khan, formally signed the MOU, reflecting a shared commitment to fostering meaningful collaboration between academia and the pharmaceutical industry. The signing ceremony was held in connection with the break into pharma session, organized through the special efforts of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem, Dean, Faculty of Chemical & Biological Sciences, under the guidance of the Vice Chancellor. The collaboration aims to provide opportunities for academic–industrial linkages, professional development, student engagement, knowledge exchange, practical learning, research collaboration, and exposure to contemporary pharmaceutical industry practices. The initiative marks a significant step toward stronger connections between university education and industrial practice, enabling students and faculty to benefit from industry expertise while creating avenues for future collaboration. اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی فیکلٹی آف کیمیکل اینڈ بائیولوجیکل سائنسز نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور اور رین گروپ آف کمپنیز کراچی کے درمیان مفاہمت کی ایک یادداشت پر دستخط کیے ۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران اور رین گروپ آف کمپنیز کے چیئرمین فرحان خان نے باضابطہ طور پر اس معاہدے پر دستخط کیے جو تعلیمی شعبے اور دواسازی کی صنعت (فارماسیوٹیکل انڈسٹری) کے درمیان بامعنی تعاون کو فروغ دینے کے مشترکہ عزم کا مظہر ہے۔ دستخط کی یہ تقریب ’بریک ان ٹو فارماسیشن کے سلسلے میں منعقد کی گئی جس کا اہتمام وائس چانسلر کی رہنمائی میں فیکلٹی آف کیمیکل اینڈ بائیولوجیکل سائنسز کے ڈین پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد سلیم کی خصوصی کاوشوں سے کیا گیا تھا۔ اس تعاون کا مقصد تعلیمی اور صنعتی روابط پیشہ ورانہ مہارتوں کی ترقی طلبہ کی شمولیت علم کے تبادلے عملی سیکھنے کے عمل تحقیقی اور دواسازی کی صنعت کے جدید طریقوں سے آگاہی کے مواقع فراہم کرنا ہے۔ یہ اقدام یونیورسٹی کی تعلیم اور صنعتی عملی سرگرمیوں کے درمیان مضبوط تعلقات کی جانب ایک اہم پیش رفت ہے جس سے طلبہ اور اساتذہ کو صنعتی مہارتوں سے استفادہ کرنے کا موقع ملے گا اور مستقبل میں تعاون کی نئی راہیں ہموار ہوں گی۔ تعلیمی شعبے کو صنعت سے جوڑنا، طلبہ کو بااختیار بنانا اور جدت کو فروغ دینا۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی فیکلٹی آف کیمیکل اینڈ بائیولوجیکل سائنسز صنعت کے ساتھ ایسے اسٹریٹجک شراکت داری کے قیام کے لیے پرعزم ہے جو معیاری تعلیم اطلاقی تحقیق پیشہ ورانہ ترقی جدت اور طلباء وطالبات کے لیے روزگار کے بہتر مواقع کے حصول میں معاون ثابت ہوں۔
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
