Proud moment of IUB: Dr. Muhammad Ali Raza participated in a high-level visit to China as an agricultural scientist.

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is proud to announce that the outstanding contributions of Dr. Muhammad Ali Raza, Director of the National Research Center of Intercropping and an internationally recognized agricultural scientist, were highlighted during a high-level visit by the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress of China to the Gansu Academy of Agricultural Sciences. A delegation led by Lou Qinjian, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress of China and former Communist Party Secretary of Jiangsu and Shaanxi provinces, visited Gansu Academy of Agricultural Sciences to review international cooperation, scientific innovation, and agricultural development initiatives. During the visit, Lou Qinjian and his delegation held a cordial interaction with Dr. Muhammad Ali Raza, a foreign expert at Gansu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and inquired about his research activities, working conditions, and contributions to agricultural development and international scientific cooperation. Since joining Gansu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Dr. Raza has played a leading role in advancing China–Pakistan agricultural cooperation. He has helped establish innovative intercropping technology systems for arid regions and has jointly participated in 14 national and provincial international research projects. His research has contributed significantly to advances in cereal–legume intercropping, water-saving agriculture, nutrient management, and sustainable crop production systems. In addition, he has contributed to talent development by supervising and training more than five PhD students, thereby strengthening research capacity and international scientific collaboration. These technologies have been successfully promoted across more than 243,900 acres of agricultural land in China, generating substantial economic, environmental, and social benefits. اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے نیشنل ریسرچ سنٹر آف انٹرکراپنگ کے ڈائریکٹر اور بین الاقوامی سطح پر تسلیم شدہ زرعی سائنسدان ڈاکٹر محمد علی رضا کی شاندار خدمات کو چین کی نیشنل پیپلز کانگریس کی خارجہ امور کمیٹی کے گانسو سائنس اکیڈمی آف ایگریکلچرل کے ایک اعلیٰ سطحی دورے کے دوران اجاگر کیا گیا۔ چین کی نیشنل پیپلز کانگریس کی خارجہ امور کمیٹی کے چیئرمین اور جیانگ سو اور شانشی صوبوں کی کمیونسٹ پارٹی کے سابق سیکرٹری لو کنجیان کی قیادت میں ایک وفد نے بین الاقوامی تعاون، سائنسی اختراعات اور زرعی ترقی کے اقدامات کا جائزہ لینے کے لیے گانسو اکیڈمی آف ایگریکلچرل سائنسز کا دورہ کیا۔ دورے کے دوران، لو کنجیان اور ان کے وفد نے گانسو اکیڈمی آف ایگریکلچرل سائنسز کے ایک غیر ملکی ماہر ڈاکٹر محمد علی رضا کے ساتھ خوشگوار بات چیت کی، اور ان کی تحقیقی سرگرمیوں،  زرعی ترقی اور بین الاقوامی سائنسی تعاون میں شراکت کے بارے میں دریافت کیا۔ گانسو اکیڈمی آف ایگریکلچرل سائنسز میں شمولیت کے بعد سے، ڈاکٹر رضا نے چین پاکستان زرعی تعاون کو آگے بڑھانے میں اہم کردار ادا کیا ہے۔ انہوں نے بنجر علاقوں کے لیے جدید انٹرکراپنگ ٹیکنالوجی سسٹم قائم کرنے میں مدد کی ہے اور 14 قومی اور صوبائی بین الاقوامی تحقیقی منصوبوں میں مشترکہ طور پر حصہ لیا ہے۔ ان کی تحقیق نے اناج– پھلی کی انٹرکراپنگ، پانی کی بچت زراعت، غذائی اجزاء کے انتظام، اور پائیدار فصل کی پیداوار کے نظام میں پیش رفت میں اہم کردار ادا کیا ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ، اس نے پانچ سے زائد پی ایچ ڈی طلباء کی نگرانی اور تربیت کے ذریعے ٹیلنٹ کی نشوونما میں اپنا حصہ ڈالا ہے، اس طرح تحقیقی صلاحیت اور بین الاقوامی سائنسی تعاون کو تقویت ملی ہے۔ ان ٹیکنالوجیز کو چین میں 243,900 ایکڑ  سے زیادہ زرعی اراضی پر کامیابی کے ساتھ فروغ دیا گیا ہے، جس سے کافی اقتصادی، ماحولیاتی اور سماجی فوائد حاصل ہوئے ہیں۔ وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران، پرو وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالروف نے ڈاکٹر محمد علی رضا کو اس اعزاز پر مبارکباد دی ہے۔
