Public defense of PhD scholar Ms. Farah Zaib from Department of English Linguistics will be held on 26 August 2025.

The Department of English Linguistics at IUB will host a public defense for PhD candidate Ms. Farah Zaib at 10.00 AM on August 26, 2025. Ms. Zaib will defend her doctoral thesis titled "The Effect of Video Captioning and Revoicing on Pakistani ESL Learners' Speaking and Writing Skills". She conducted her research under the supervision of Dr. Shahid Nawaz, Assistant Professor, Department of English Linguistics. In this open defense, Dr. Rehan Muhammad, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Emerson University Multan will serve as an external examiner. This research aims at using video captioning and revoicing for the purpose of improving Pakistani ESL learners' speaking and writing skills. The Venue for this academic event is Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Library, Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
