Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bahawalpur, DIG Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, called on the Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, and held a detailed discussion on matters of mutual interest with a focus on strengthening collaboration between academia and the police department. Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Chairman Department of Social Work, Dr. Jam Sajjad Hussain, Associate Professor, Department of Media and Communication Studies and Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, Director Media & Public Relations, IUB, were also present on the occasion. During the meeting, the RPO Bahawalpur shared proposals for expanding institutional cooperation between Bahawalpur Police and IUB, particularly in areas such as student internships, police-related licensing services, driving training, issuance of character certificates, and other facilitative services. He also requested the Vice Chancellor to consider special scholarships for the sons and daughters of martyred police personnel of Bahawalpur, as well as relaxation and facilitation in evening academic programs for serving police employees. DIG Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin emphasized the urgent need to develop strong linkages between academia and the police to provide students with real-time awareness about police structures, public administration, and the functioning of government departments, which would contribute to informed citizenship and professional development. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran appreciated the positive, forward-looking approach and innovative ideas of the RPO Bahawalpur and assured him of full cooperation from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur in promoting joint initiatives for the welfare of students and police personnel. On the occasion, the RPO Bahawalpur also invited the Vice Chancellor to visit Police Lines Bahawalpur and address police officers and officials regarding academic programs, scholarships, and educational opportunities available at IUB.

آر پی او بہاولپور کی وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور سے ملاقات۔اکیڈمیا اور پولیس روابط کو مضبوط بنانے پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔ ریجنل پولیس آفیسر بہاولپور، ڈی آئی جی غازی محمد صلاح الدین نے وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران سے ملاقات کی اور تعلیمی اداروں اور محکمہ پولیس کے درمیان تعاون کو مضبوط بنانے پر توجہ مرکوز کرتے ہوئے باہمی دلچسپی کے امور پر تفصیلی تبادلہ خیال کیا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا چیئرمین شعبہ سوشل ورک، ڈاکٹر جام سجاد حسین، ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسر، شعبہ میڈیا اینڈ کمیونیکیشن اسٹڈیز اور ڈاکٹر شہزاد احمد خالد، ڈائریکٹر میڈیا اینڈ پبلک ریلیشنز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور بھی اس موقع پر موجود تھے- میٹنگ کے دوران، آر پی او بہاولپور نے بہاولپور پولیس اور یونیورسٹی کے درمیان ادارہ جاتی تعاون کو بڑھانے کے لیے تجاویز شیئر کیں- خاص طور پر طلبہ کی انٹرن شپ، پولیس سے متعلقہ لائسنسنگ سروسز، ڈرائیونگ ٹریننگ، کریکٹر سرٹیفکیٹ کا اجراء اور دیگر سہولتی خدمات جیسے شعبوں میں۔ انہوں نے وائس چانسلر سے بہاولپور کے شہید پولیس اہلکاروں کے بیٹوں اور بیٹیوں کے لیے خصوصی وظائف کے ساتھ ساتھ پولیس ملازمین کی خدمت کے لیے شام کے تعلیمی پروگراموں میں نرمی اور سہولت پر بھی غور کرنے کی درخواست کی۔ ڈی آئی جی غازی محمد صلاح الدین نے تعلیمی اداروں اور پولیس کے درمیان مضبوط روابط استوار کرنے کی فوری ضرورت پر زور دیا تاکہ طلباء کو پولیس کے ڈھانچے، پبلک ایڈمنسٹریشن اور سرکاری محکموں کے کام کاج کے بارے میں حقیقی وقت میں آگاہی فراہم کی جا سکے، جو باخبر شہریت اور پیشہ ورانہ ترقی میں معاون ثابت ہوں گے۔ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے ریجنل پولیس آفیسر بہاولپور کے مثبت، مستقبل کے حوالے سے سوچ اور اختراعی خیالات کو سراہا اور انہیں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاولپور کی جانب سے طلباء اور پولیس اہلکاروں کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے مشترکہ اقدامات کو فروغ دینے کے لیے مکمل تعاون کا یقین دلایا۔اس موقع پر آر پی او بہاولپور نے وائس چانسلر کو پولیس لائنز بہاولپور کا دورہ کرنے اور IUB میں دستیاب تعلیمی پروگراموں، وظائف اور تعلیمی مواقع کے حوالے سے پولیس افسران و اہلکاروں سے خطاب کرنے کی دعوت بھی دی۔
