Secretary Agriculture South Punjab Saqib Ali Ateel has described the ongoing agricultural research activities under the leadership of Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur as exemplary. He expressed these views on the occasion of his visit to Evyol Group Farm. On this occasion, Khalid Khokhar, President of Pakistan Kisan Etihad, Asif Majeed, CEO of Evyol Group, Director of Agriculture Extension Multan, Deputy Director and Assistant were also present. Secretary Agriculture South Punjab and Director Agriculture Extension Khaniwal will observe the performance of new cotton genotype IUB-222/III against virus and production. He said that cotton is not a crop but an important component of the country's economy and for this purpose, suitable types have been introduced by the Islamia University of Bahawalpur which is a national service. On this occasion, Director NCBI Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal gave a briefing about cotton genotypes and expected production. All the team members expressed agreement and satisfaction with the performance of IUB-222/III against Cotton Leaf Curl Virus (CLCV).

سیکریٹری زراعت جنوبی پنجاب ثاقب علی عتیل نے انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کی سربراہی میں جاری زرعی تحقیقی سرگرمیوں کو مثالی قرار دیا ہے۔ انہوں نے ان خیالات کاا ظہار ایوول گروپ فارم کے دورے کے موقع پر کیا۔ اس موقع پرخالد کھوکھر صدر پاکستان کسان اتحاد، ایوول گروپ کے سی ای او آصف مجید، ڈائریکٹر زراعت توسیع ملتان، ڈپٹی ڈائریکٹر اور اسسٹنٹ بھی اُن کے ہمراہ تھے۔ سیکرٹری زراعت جنوبی پنجاب اور ڈائریکٹر زراعت توسیع خانیوال وائرس اور پیداوار کے خلاف کپاس کے نئے جین ٹائپ IUB-222/III کی کارکردگی کا مشاہدہ کریں گے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ کپاس ایک فصل نہیں بلکہ ملکی معیشت کا اہم جزو ہے اور اس مقصد کے لیے جامعہ اسلامیہ کی جانب سے موزوں اقسام متعارف کرائی گئی ہیں جو ایک قومی خدمت ہے۔ اس موقع پر ڈائریکٹر این سی بی آئی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد اقبال نے کپاس کی جین ٹائپس اور متوقع پیداوار کے بارے میں بریفنگ دی۔ تمام ٹیم ممبران نے پتہ مروڑوائرس کے خلاف IUB-222/III کی کارکردگی پر اتفاق اور اطمینان کا اظہار کیا۔
