Students from IUB took part in the 50 Books a Year Reading Competition organized by Read Pakistan (Term 2025).

Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, has said that reading habits are the foundation of academic and intellectual development. The Vice Chancellor expressed these views while talking to a group of teachers and students. He urged both the faculty and students to devote regular time to reading books other than their prescribed syllabus. Highlighting the role of books in shaping critical thinking and innovation, he said that reading circles and literary discussions should be promoted in the departments. He reiterated the university’s commitment to promoting a vibrant culture of learning through libraries, book clubs and academic engagements. Students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur have participated in the 50 Books Annual Reading Competition (Term 2025) organized by Red Pakistan.  Four students of Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Ayesha Arshad and Ali Hamza, Department of English Literature, Laila Rehman Department of Education, and Rabia Kausar Department of Computer Science, fulfilled all the academic requirements, as a result of which the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran awarded these students with certificates. The focal person of this program, Rana Muzammil Fayyaz Lecturer, apprised the Vice Chancellor about the objectives of the program and the continuous commitment of the students throughout the duration. Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Khalid Director Media and Public Relations, Dr. Naveen Javed and Alina Tariq Chauhan along with the assessment committee members were also present.

وائس چانسلراسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے کہا ہے کہ پڑھنے کی عادات تعلیمی و فکری ترقی کی بنیاد ہیں۔ وائس چانسلر نے ان خیالات کا اظہار اساتذہ اور طلباوطالبات کے ایک گروپ سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کیا۔ انہوں نے فیکلٹی اور طلباءوطالبات دونوں پر زور دیا کہ وہ اپنے مقررہ نصاب کے ساتھ ساتھ دیگر کتب پڑھنے کے لیے باقاعدہ وقت وقف کریں۔ تنقیدی سوچ اور اختراع کی تشکیل میں کتابوں کے کردار پر روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے انہوں نے کہا کہ شعبہ جات میں پڑھنے کے حلقوں اور ادبی مباحث کو فروغ دیا جاے۔ انہوں نے لائبریریوں بک کلبوں اور علمی مصروفیات کے ذریعے سیکھنے کی ایک متحرک ثقافت کو فروغ دینے کے لیے یونیورسٹی کے عزم کا اعادہ کیا۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے طلباء طالبات نے ریڈ پاکستان کے زیر اہتمام 50 کتابیں سالانہ پڑھنے کے مقابلے (ٹرم 2025) میں حصہ لیا ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے چار طلبہ عائشہ ارشد اور علی حمزہ، شعبہ انگریزی ادب ، لیلیٰ رحمان شعبہ تعلیم، اور رابعہ کوثر شعبہ کمپیوٹر سائنس نے تمام تعلیمی تقاضوں کو پورا کیا جس کے نتیجے میں  وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے ان طلبہ کو اسناد سے نوازا۔ اس پروگرام کے فوکل پرسن رانا مزمل فیاض لیکچرر نے وائس چانسلر کو پروگرام کے مقاصد اور طالب علموں کی پوری مدت کے دوران مستقل عزم کے بارے میں آگاہ کیا۔ ڈاکٹر شہزاد احمد خالد ڈائریکٹر میڈیا اینڈ پبلک ریلیشنز، ڈاکٹر نوین جاوید اور علینہ طارق چوہان کے ہمراہ اسسمنٹ کمیٹی ممبران بھی موجود تھے۔
