The Department of Data Science Faculty of Computing the Islamia University of Bahawalpur successfully organized the Tech lancer Summit 3.0 and Mushaira, a visionary initiative aimed at educating and motivating students towards technology freelancing, skill development, and sustainable income generation. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran was the chief guest. Vice Chancellor highlighted the core objective of the event, preparing students for the global freelance market, promoting financial independence, and contributing to institutional and national economic growth. During the event, Prof. Dr. Dost Muhammad Khan Dean Faculty of Computing, Dr. Muhammad Faheem Mushtaq, Focal Person and Associate Professor, Department of Data Science, Dr. Muhammad Zeeshan Jhandeer, Head, Department of Data Science, renowned industry experts and tech professionals shared valuable insights on the future of the freelancing market, emphasizing how emerging technologies such as data science, AI, software development, and cyber security can support Pakistan’s digital economy, foreign exchange earnings, and youth employment. The event was further honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amjad Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Prof. Dr. Najia Sehar Chairperson Department of Artificial Intelligence, Prof. Dr. Imran Sarwar Bajwa Chairman Department of Computer Science, Dr. Malik Muhammad Saad Missen Chairman Department of Software Engineering, Dr. Saeed Sheikh Chairman Department of Fiqh and Shariah, along with other respected chairpersons and faculty members, reflecting strong interdepartmental collaboration and institutional support. Through initiatives like Tech lancer, the Department of Data Science reaffirms its commitment to transforming students into skilled freelancers, innovators, and digital ambassadors of Pakistan, ready to earn globally while contributing locally.

ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف ڈیٹا سائنس، فیکلٹی آف کمپیوٹنگ، دی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے زیرِ اہتمام ٹیک لانسر سمٹ 3.0 اور مشاعرہ کا انعقاد کیا گیا، جس کا مقصد طلبہ میں ٹیکنالوجی فری لانسنگ، مہارتوں کی ترقی اور پائیدار آمدنی کے مواقع سے متعلق آگاہی فراہم کرنا تھا۔ تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے کہا کہ تعلیمی سرگرمیوں کو جدید مارکیٹ کی ضروریات سے ہم آہنگ کرنا وقت کی اہم ضرورت ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ٹیک لانسر جیسے اقدامات طلبہ کو عالمی فری لانس مارکیٹ کے لیے تیار کرنے، خود انحصاری کو فروغ دینے اور قومی معیشت کو مستحکم بنانے میں اہم کردار ادا کرتے ہیں۔ ڈاکٹر محمد فہیم مشتاق فوکل پرسن و ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسر اور ڈاکٹر محمد ذیشان جھنڈیر چیئرمین، ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف ڈیٹا سائنس نے کہا کہ اس پروگرام کا بنیادی مقصد طلبہ کو جدید ٹیکنالوجیز میں عملی مہارتیں فراہم کرنا ہے۔ ڈاکٹر دوست محمد خان، ڈین فیکلٹی آف کمپیوٹنگ، نے بھی صنعت سے ہم آہنگ مہارتوں کی اہمیت پر زور دیا تاکہ طلبہ کی پیشہ ورانہ صلاحیتوں میں اضافہ ہو سکے۔تقریب میں شریک معروف انڈسٹری ماہرین اور ٹیکنالوجی پروفیشنلز نے فری لانسنگ کے مستقبل پر روشنی ڈالی اور ڈیٹا سائنس، مصنوعی ذہانت، سافٹ ویئر ڈویلپمنٹ اور سائبر سیکیورٹی جیسے شعبوں میں موجود مواقع پر تفصیلی گفتگو کی۔ انہوں نے ان شعبوں کو پاکستان کی ڈیجیٹل معیشت، زرِ مبادلہ میں اضافے اور نوجوانوں کے لیے روزگار کے نئے مواقع پیدا کرنے کا اہم ذریعہ قرار دیا۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد امجد ڈین، فیکلٹی آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ناجیہ سحر چیئرپرسن، ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف آرٹیفیشل انٹیلیجنس، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عمران سرور باجوہ چیئرمین، ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف کمپیوٹر سائنس، ڈاکٹر ملک محمد سعد مسن چیئرمین، ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف سافٹ ویئر انجینئرنگ، ڈاکٹر سعید شیخ چیئرمین، ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف فقہ و شریعہ سمیت دیگر معزز اساتذہ اور طلبہ بھی شریک تھے۔ ٹیک لانسر جیسے پروگراموں کے ذریعے ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف ڈیٹا سائنس اپنے اس عزم کا اعادہ کرتا ہے کہ طلبہ کو باصلاحیت فری لانسرز، جدید سوچ کے حامل افراد اور پاکستان کے ڈیجیٹل سفیر کے طور پر تیار کیا جائے، جو عالمی سطح پر کماتے ہوئے مقامی ترقی میں بھی کردار ادا کر سکیں۔
