The awareness Seminar on International Day of Girls, 2024, commenced under the canopy of the University College of Art and Design, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The seminar was led by the Principal of UCAD Dr. Farhana Altaf Qureshi. The students of Visual Arts created multiple sketches, paintings, and sculptures to acknowledge the vibrancy of International Day of Girls. Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti - Dean Faculty of Social Sciences chaired the seminar by sharing her progressive vision for the future of young girls of IUB. The event was graced by multiple strong ladies of the IUB and Bahawalpur: Prof. Kaiser Jabeen, Prof. Dr. Sajeela Kausar - Chairperson of the Department of World Religions and Interfaith Harmony, Amber Taseer – the renowned social activist of South Punjab, Prof. Dr. Mariam from Economics Department of IUB. The young students of the University College of Art and Design attended the interactive session with zeal and zest. Dr. Rubina Bhatti narrated mesmerizing ideas on the strength and beauty of women. Her speech was a source of motivation for the young girls of IUB. The principal of the University College of Art and Design, Dr. Farhana Altaf Qureshi encouraged girls to ask questions on empowerment and gender from brilliant leading ladies of the Seminar. The subjects of Seminar’s conversation revolved around Women Empowerment, the struggles of female employees, gender discrimination, and the mental health of females. The leading ladies concluded the seminar on a positive note on the role of women as mothers, sisters, wives, employees, and friends in shaping a peaceful society.
