The Finance and Planning Committee of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has approved budget recommendations worth Rs. 8,813.580 million (Rs 8.8 billion) for the financial year 2022-23. The meeting of the committee was held at Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus under the chairmanship of Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor. In the budget, special attention has been focused on the construction and development of the university, the promotion of research activities and the welfare of students. A record amount of 4,033.665 million rupees (4 billion rupees) has been allocated for development expenditure. Vice-Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob termed the budget of the upcoming financial year as a history-making budget of the university which will lead the university on a new road of innovation and development. Extraordinary development projects will be launched in the university that will be example in infrastructure and development. Treasurer Prof. Dr. Abubakar told in the briefing that the budget deficit was controlled and turned into a surplus budget last year thanks to the best financial management. This year, a special budget planning and events section has been set up in the Finance Branch, which will bring transparency and innovation in financial affairs with the help of the Directorate of IT, which will further reduce costs. In the meeting, committee members Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amjad, Dean Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Abdul Majid Makki, Chairman, Department of Commerce, Prof. Dr. Rahila Khalid Qureshi, Chairperson, Department of Arabic, Sumira Malik, Member Syndicate, Shahsawar, Representative Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Punjab and Abdul Samad, Additional Treasurer, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur participated.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کی فنانس اینڈ پلاننگ کمیٹی نے مالیاتی سال 2022-23 کے لیے 8,813.580 ملین روپے (8.8 ارب روپے) مالیت کی بجٹ سفارشات کی منظوری دے دی۔ کمیٹی کا اجلاس انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر کی سربراہی میں بغداد الجدید کیمپس میں منعقد ہوا۔ بجٹ میں یونیورسٹی کی تعمیر وترقی، تحقیقی سرگرمیوں کے فروغ اور طلبا وطالبات کی فلاح وبہبود پر خصوصی توجہ مرکوز کی گئی ہے۔ ترقیاتی اخراجات کی مد میں 4,033.665 ملین روپے  (4 ارب روپے) کی ریکارڈ رقم مختص کی گئی ہے۔ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے آئندہ مالیاتی سال کے بجٹ کو یونیورسٹی کا تاریخ ساز بجٹ قرار دیا جو جامعہ کو جدت اور ترقی کی نئی شاہراہ پر گامزن کردے گا۔ یونیورسٹی میں غیر معمولی ترقیاتی منصوبوں کا آغاز ہو گا جوانفراسٹکچراور ڈویلپمنٹ میں اپنی مثال آپ ہوں گے۔ خزانہ دار پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ابوبکر نے بریفنگ میں بتایا کہ گزشتہ سال بہترین مالیاتی نظم و نسق کی بدولت بجٹ خسارے کو کنٹرول کرکے سرپلس بجٹ میں بدل دیا گیا تھا۔ اس سال خزانہ برانچ میں خصوصی بجٹ پلاننگ اینڈ ایونسٹمنٹ سیکشن قائم کیا گیا ہے جو ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف آئی ٹی کی مدد سے مالیاتی امور میں شفافیت اور جدت لائے گا جس سے اخراجات میں مزید کمی واقع ہو گی۔ اجلاس میں کمیٹی ممبران پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد امجد ڈین فیکلٹی آف انجینئرنگ، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالماجد مکی چیئر مین شعبہ کامرس، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر راحیلہ خالد قریشی، چیئر پرسن شعبہ عربی، سمیرا ملک ممبر سنڈیکیٹ، شاہ سوار نمائندہ سیکریٹری وزارت خزانہ پنجاب اور عبدالصمد ایڈیشنل خزانہ دار اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے شرکت کی۔
