The main Independence Day ceremony was held at the Abbasia Campus of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran hoisted the flag and along with the faculty, teachers and students recited the national anthem. In his address, the Vice Chancellor said that today is a glorious chapter in our national history when we have gathered to thank Allah Almighty on the completion of 80 years of our independence. Our Pakistani forces recently defeated the enemy and proved that Pakistan’s borders are secure and no force can bend Pakistan. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor participated in the tree plantation campaign and also planted saplings and distributed saplings among the children under the Plant for Quaid campaign. A cake was cut in the conference room to celebrate Independence Day. Deans, teachers and students were present on the occasion. The Vice Chancellor attended a function organized by HHRD for special children. Gifts were distributed among the grade-IV employees of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur by the Sailani Welfare Association. Later, the Vice Chancellor attended the launching ceremony of the new university website developed by the Directorate of Information Technology. The website of the SDGs Center was also launched on this occasion. In connection with the Independence Day celebrations, the Vice Chancellor participated in a poetry making competition among male and female students at the Prime Minister Youth Development Center. Meanwhile, flag hoisting ceremonies were also held at the Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan campuses of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and saplings were planted as part of the tree plantation campaign.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں یوم آزادی کی مرکزی تقریب عباسیہ کیمپس میں منعقد ہوئی۔ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے پرچم کشائی کی اور فیکلٹی، اساتذہ اور طلباوطالبات کے ساتھ ملکر قومی ترانہ پڑھا۔ اپنے خطاب میں وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ آج کا دن ہماری قومی تاریخ کا وہ درخشاں باب ہے جب ہم اپنی آزادی کے 80 برس مکمل ہونے پر اللہ تعالیٰ کا شکر ادا کرنے کے لیے جمع ہیں۔ ہماری افواجِ پاکستان نے حال ہی میں دشمن کو شکست دے کر یہ ثابت کیا کہ پاکستان کی سرحدیں محفوظ ہیں اور کوئی طاقت پاکستان کوجھکا نہیں سکتی۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر نے شجرکاری مہم میں حصہ لیتے ہوئے پودا بھی لگایا اور بچوں میں پلانٹ فار قائد مہم کے تحت پودے تقسیم کیے۔ یوم آزادی کی خوشی میں کانفرنس روم میں کیک کاٹا گیا۔ اس موقع پر ڈینز، اساتذہ کرام اور طلباوطالبات موجود تھے۔ وائس چانسلر نے ایچ ایچ آر ڈی کے زیر اہتمام خصوصی بچوں کے لیے منعقدہ تقریب میں شرکت کی۔ سیلانی ویلفیئر ایسوسی ایسی ایشن کی جانب سے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے درجہ چہارم کے ملازمین میں تحائف تقسیم کیے گئے۔ بعدازاں وائس چانسلر نے ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی کی بنائی ہوئی نئی یونیورسٹی ویب سائٹ کی لانچنگ تقریب میں شرکت کی۔ اس موقع پر ایس ڈی جیز سینٹر کی ویب سائٹ بھی لانچ کی گئ۔ یوم آزادی کی تقریب کے سلسلے میں وائس چانسلر نے پرائم منسٹر یوتھ ڈویلپمنٹ سنٹر میں طلباوطالبات میں پوئٹری میکنگ کے مقابلے میں شرکت کی۔ دریں اثنا اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے بہاول نگر اور رحیم یار خان کیمپسز میں بھی پرچم کشائی کی تقریبات منعقد ہوئیں اور شجرکاری مہم کے سلسلے میں پودے لگائے گئے۔
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
