The Islamia University of Bahawalpur and the Bahawalpur Institute of Nuclear Oncology signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen academic, clinical, and research collaboration in Medical Physics, Oncology, Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine. The MoU was signed by Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, and Director Bahawalpur Institute of Nuclear Oncology, Dr. Muhammad Iftikhar Alam, in the presence of Dean Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Prof. Dr. Ghulam Mustafa along with senior faculty members and representatives of both institutions. Prof. Dr. Altaf Hussain, Director Institute of Physics, highlighted the importance of the MoU and emphasized that the collaboration will provide valuable opportunities for MPhil and PhD research students of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Dr. Aalia Nazir delivered a brief presentation outlining the objectives of the MoU and its potential to facilitate student training, clinical exposure, knowledge exchange, and capacity building.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور اور بہاولپور انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف نیوکلیئر آنکولوجی نے میڈیکل فزکس آنکولوجی ریڈیولاجی اور نیوکلیئر میڈیسن کے شعبوں میں تعلیمی طبی اور تحقیقی تعاون کو فروغ دینے کے لیے مفاہمت کی یادداشت پر دستخط کیے۔ اس معاہدے پر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران اور بہاولپور انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف نیوکلیئر آنکولوجی کے ڈائریکٹر ڈاکٹر محمد افتخار عالم نے دستخط کیے۔اس موقع پر فیکلٹی آف فزیکل اینڈ میتھمیٹیکل سائنسز کے ڈین پروفیسر ڈاکٹر غلام مصطفیٰ دونوں اداروں کے سینئر اساتذہ اور نمائندے بھی موجود تھے۔ انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف فزکس کے ڈائریکٹر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر الطاف حسین نے معاہدے کی اہمیت کو اجاگر کیا اور اس بات پر زور دیا کہ یہ اشتراکِ عمل اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے ایم فل اور پی ایچ ڈی کے تحقیقی طلبہ کے لیے بہترین مواقع فراہم کرے گا۔ ڈاکٹر عالیہ نذیر نے ایک مختصر پریزنٹیشن کے ذریعے معاہدے کے مقاصد اور طلبہ کی تربیت کلینیکل تجربے کے حصول علم کے تبادلے اور صلاحیت سازی میں اس کی افادیت پر روشنی ڈالی۔
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
