Under Prime Minister Laptop Scheme Phase IV, 3900 laptops are being distributed to the students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. In this regard, a special ceremony was held at Ghulam Muhammad Ghotvi Hall Abbasia Campus. The chief guest, former Governor of Punjab Engineer Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman, distributed laptops among the students along with Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran. The ceremony was attended by Members of Provincial Assembly Rana Tariq Khan, Sadia Bilal Member Syndicate, Former Member of Provincial Assembly Fozia Ayub Qureshi, Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Rauf and other dignitaries. Engineer Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman said that Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif has a vision that the youth of Pakistan are equipped with modern technology. He said that the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme, which was started by former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, has been reactivated so that our students can benefit from world-class education and research and innovation are promoted in universities. Thanks to these initiatives, today Pakistan is among the top freelancing countries and has become the fourth fastest growing country in IT. Between 2013 and 2018, 500,000 laptops were distributed to the youth. In the recent period, the distribution of one lac laptops annually is going on for talented students across Pakistan. Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, laptops are also being given to millions of youth in Punjab province. This scheme will give students access to the latest software of the global digital library. Digital learning is being promoted across the country. He asked the students to use this facility for their own and their country’s professional development. Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, in his address, said that the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme is a reflection of the global vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan. It is a guarantee that the youth of Pakistan are not just followers of knowledge but leaders of knowledge. So far, 13345 students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur have benefited from the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is grateful to Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and the Higher Education Commission for trusting our youth and providing resources for global education. Dr. Imran Deen, Senior Faculty Member of Punjab University, also spoke and appreciated the Laptop Scheme. The ceremony was attended by a large number of Deans, Principal Officers and elders of the city.

وزیراعظم لیپ ٹاپ سکیم فیز 4 کے تحت اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے طلبہ و طالبات کو 3900 لیپ ٹاپ تقسیم کیے جارہے ہیں۔ اس سلسلے میں ایک خصوصی تقریب غلام محمد گھوٹوی ہال عباسیہ کیمپس میں منعقد ہوئی۔ مہمان خصوصی سابق گورنر پنجاب انجینیر محمد بلیغ الرحمن نے وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران کے ہمراہ طلبہ و طالبات میں لیپ ٹاپ تقسیم کیے۔ تقریب میں اراکین صوبائی اسمبلی رانا طارق خان، سعدیہ بلال ممبر سینڈیکیٹ، سابقہ رکن صوبائی اسمبلی فوزیہ ایوب قریشی، پرووائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالرؤف اور دیگر معززین موجود تھے۔ انجینئر محمد بلیغ الرحمن نے کہا کہ وزیر اعظم پاکستان شہباز شریف کا ویژن ہے کہ پاکستان کے نوجوان جدید ٹیکنالوجی سے لیس ہوں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ وزیراعظم لیپ ٹاپ سکیم کو جو سابق وزیراعظم میاں محمد نواز شریف نے شروع کی تھی دوبارہ فعال کیا گیا تاکہ ہمارے طلبا و طالبات عالمی معیار کی تعلیم سے مستفید ہوں اور جامعات میں تحقیق اور اختراع کو فروغ حاصل ہو۔ ان اقدامات کی بدولت آج پاکستان سرفہرست فری لانسنگ ملکوں میں شامل ہے اور آئی ٹی میں چوتھا ترقی کرتا ہوا ملک بن چکا ہے۔ 2013 سے 2018 کے درمیان 5 لاکھ لیپ ٹاپ نوجوانوں میں تقسیم کیے گئے۔ حالیہ دور میں سالانہ ایک لاکھ لیپ ٹاپ کی تقسیم پاکستان بھر کے ہونہار طلباء و طالبات کے لیے جاری ہے۔ وزیر اعلی پنجاب مریم نواز شریف کی قیادت میں صوبہ پنجاب میں بھی لاکھوں نوجوانوں کو لیپ ٹاپ دیئے جارہے ہیں۔ یہ سکیم طلبہ کو عالمی ڈیجیٹل لائبریری جدید سافٹ ویئر تک رسائی دے گی۔ ملک بھر میں ڈیجیٹل لرننگ کو فروغ دیا جارہا ہے۔ انہوں نے طلبا و طالبات سے کہا کہ اس سہولت کو اپنی اور اپنے ملک کی پیشہ ورانہ ترقی کے لیے استعمال کریں۔ وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پرفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ وزیراعظم لیپ ٹاپ سکیم وزیراعظم پاکستان کے عالمی ویژن کی عکاس ہے ۔ یہ اس بات کی ضمانت ہے کہ پاکستان کا نوجوان صرف علم کا پیروکار نہیں بلکہ علم کا قائد ہے۔ وزیراعظم لیپ ٹاپ سکیم سے اب تک جامعہ اسلامیہ بہاولپور کے 13345 طلبہ و طالبات مستفید ہو چکے ہیں۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور وزیراعظم پاکستان محمد شہباز شریف اور ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن کی شکر گزار ہے کہ انہوں نے ہمارے نوجوانوں پر اعتماد کیا اور عالمی تعلیم کے لیے وسائل فراہم کیے۔ پنجاب یونیورسٹی کے سینئر فیکلٹی ممبر ڈاکٹر عمران دین نے بھی خطاب کیا اور لیپ ٹاپ سکیم کو سراہا۔ تقریب میں ڈینز پرنسپل افیسرز اور عمائدین شہر کی بڑی تعداد نے شرکت کی۔
