The University College of Art and Design The Islamia University of Bahawalpur turned its campus pink to reaffirm its commitment to breast cancer awareness under the theme Every Story Is Unique; Every Journey Matters. The event featured three major activities: an awareness session by guest speaker Dr. Maleeha Ejaz, Consultant Physician and Medical Officer, an art exhibition showcasing creative works by University College of Art and Design students and a powerful mime performance highlighting the importance of breast cancer awareness. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor, inaugurated the event. Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr. Syed Amir Sohail, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Languages and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khalid Mansoor, Dean, Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, attended as Guests of Honour. Dr. Farhana Altaf Qureshi, Principal, University College of Art and Design, briefed the distinguished guests on the enthusiasm and creative efforts of the art community in promoting breast cancer awareness through artistic expression. Guests and faculty members from various The Islamia University of Bahawalpur departments participated in the Pink Day activities, appreciated the students’ mime performance, and explored the thought-provoking art displays. Other notable dignitaries included Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Director, Students’ Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Naveed Aslam Malghani, Director, Advanced Studies and Research, Dr. Jam Sajjad Hussain, Director, Alumni Affairs, Shahbaz Ali Khan, Chairperson, Department of Public Administration, Dr. Sheikh Khalid, Executive Secretary to the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Ali, Dr. Arooj, and Amjad Farooq Warraich Director Sports. Pink Journey reflected University College of Art and Design’s commitment to using art, education, and creative expression to spread awareness, encourage early detection, and promote solidarity with those affected by breast cancer.

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
