Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice-Chancellor of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, has been assigned the additional charge of the office of Vice-Chancellor at Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology, Rahim Yar Khan. This assignment is for a period of six months or until a regular appointment is made, whichever occurs first. This decision follows an official notification from the Higher Education Department, Government of the Punjab, regarding the acceptance of the resignation of the former Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Amir Azam Khan, effective from October 5, 2026. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr Muhammad Kamran assumed his responsibilities at Khwaja Farid University of Engineering and Technology Rahim Yar Khan, this morning.
