VC Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran participated in a high-profile IT and software collaboration ceremony held in Lahore

LAHORE / BAHAWALPUR — In a historic move toward shaping a bright and prosperous digital future for Pakistan, the Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) and Vice Chairman of the National Technology Council (NTC), Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, actively participated in a high-profile national and international IT and software collaboration ceremony held in Lahore, demonstrating his unwavering engagement and commitment to boosting IUB's technological growth. The landmark event culminated in the signing of a pivotal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the National Technology Council (NTC) and the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA)—Pakistan's premier IT development catalyst driving over 4.12 billion US dollars in exports—aimed at training university students to meet global market requirements and leveraging industry feedback to revolutionize modern academic curricula. Championing IUB’s immense potential in cutting-edge domains like Artificial Intelligence, software development, and cybersecurity, Dr. Muhammad Kamran emphasized that this endeavor will directly bridge the university's exceptionally talented faculty members and students with the national and international IT industry, paving clear pathways for their professional success. The ceremony, which underscored a unified national vision for digital transformation, was also graced by top-tier leadership including the Chairman of NTC Lt. Gen. (R) Moazzam Ejaz, Chairman of P@SHA Sajjad Mustafa Syed , Chairman of Imperial University Dr Adnan Zaheer, Vice Chancellor of Punjab Tianjin University of Technology (PTUT) Prof. Dr. Adeel Akram, Chairman of TEVTA Brig. Muhammad Sajid Khokhar , numerous representatives from other leading universities, and prominent software house owners. Highlighting the strategic importance of this alliance, the Chairman of P@SHA formally promised a special upcoming visit to the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, solidifying a collaborative blueprint that firmly positions IUB at the forefront of Pakistan's rapidly expanding global IT ecosystem.
