VC Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran visits the Artificial Intelligence Research and Advancement Lab at Faculty of Computing.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor, Islamia University of Bahawalpur, visited the Artificial Intelligence Research and Advancement Lab established in the Faculty of Computing and reviewed the research activities and performance of the faculty and students. Recently, Corps Commander Bahawalpur, Lieutenant General Muhammad Aqeel Hilal Imtiaz Military, inaugurated the lab and termed the university’s commitment, adopting modern technology as a commendable and strategically important effort. The lab has been established under the vision of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran with the active support of Bahawalpur Garrison. Reflecting the convergence of educational ambitions and defence needs, the lab represents a model of civil-military cooperation in the field of research and development. According to the faculty of the university, the AI Research and Advancement Lab is aligned with a broader strategic initiative titled Muarqa e Haq, which positions the Islamia University of Bahawalpur as a future-oriented and committed institution to meet national defense needs and strengthen the technological and economic foundations of Pakistan.  The aim of this laboratory is to nurture innovative research and development talent and connect students with modern equipment. This state-of-the-art lab has been established under the leadership of Professor Dr. Najia Sahar Chairperson Department of Artificial Intelligence and is supported by the Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Professor Dr. Dost Muhammad, and Director IT, Dr. Faisal Shahzad, and faculty members.

پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے فیکلٹی آف کمپیوٹنگ میں قائم آرٹیفیشل انٹیلی جنس ریسرچ اینڈ ایڈوانسمنٹ لیب کا دورہ کیا اور اساتذہ اور طلباءوطالبات کی تحقیقی سرگرمیوں اور کارکردگی کا جائزہ لیا۔ حال ہی میں کور کمانڈر بہاولپور لیفٹیننٹ جنرل محمد عقیل ہلال امتیاز ملٹری نے اس لیب کا افتتاح کیا تھا اور جدید ٹیکنالوجی کو اپنانے کے لیے یونیورسٹی کے عزم کو قابل ستائش اور اسٹریٹجک طور پر اہم کوشش قرار دیا تھا۔ یہ لیب بہاولپور گیریژن کے فعال تعاون سے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران کے وژن کے تحت قائم کی گئی ہے۔ تعلیمی عزائم اور دفاعی ضروریات کی ہم آہنگی کی عکاسی کرتے ہوئے یہ لیب تحقیق اور ترقی کے شعبے میں سول ملٹری تعاون کے ماڈل کی نمائندگی کرتی ہے۔  یونیورسٹی کے اساتذہ کے مطابق اے آئی ریسرچ اینڈ ایڈوانسمنٹ لیب معرکہ حق کے عنوان سے ایک وسیع تر اسٹریٹجک اقدام کے ساتھ منسلک ہے جو اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کو قومی دفاعی ضروریات کو پورا کرنے اور پاکستان کی تکنیکی اور اقتصادی بنیادوں کو مضبوط کرنے کے لیے پرعزم اور مستقبل کے حوالے سے ابھرتے ہوے ادارے کی حیثیت رکھتی ہے۔ اس  لیبارٹری کا مقصد جدید تحقیق اور ترقی ٹیلنٹ کو پروان چڑھانے اور طلباءوطالبات کو جدید آلات سے مربوط کرنا ہے۔ یہ جدید ترین لیب پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ناجیہ سحر چیئرپرسن شعبہ آرٹیفیشل اینٹیلیجنس کی سربراہی میں قائم کی گئی ہے اور ڈین فیکلٹی آف کمپیوٹنگ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر دوست محمد اور ڈائریکٹر آئی ٹی ڈاکٹر فیصل شہزاد اور فیکلٹی ممبران کا تعاون حاصل ہے۔
