Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran had a meeting with Punjab's Secretary of Energy, Dr. Farrukh Naveed.

Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran met with Secretary Energy Punjab Dr. Farrukh Naveed. The Vice-Chancellor felicitated Dr Farrukh Naveed on assuming the responsibilities of the Energy Department of the Government of the Punjab. The Vice Chancellor also praised Dr. Farrukh's effort and commendable services at Higher Education Department Punjab. On this occasion matters relevant to electricity issues at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur especially uninterrupted electric supplies to the University campuses were discussed. The unannounced outage of electricity disrupts academic and research activities. The Vice Chancellor also briefed about the working of the 2.5 MW Solar Power Plant at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. He also requested the Secretary of Energy for support to activate solar panels installed on the buildings of Abbasia and Baghdad-ul-Jadeed campuses. Dr Farrukh Naveed thanked the Vice-Chancellor for his visit saying that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is the leading University of the region and he will assure his full support for the university. He said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur’s solar plant was established by the Energy Department of the Punjab, and will provide all possible help in its active working as well as the restoration of other solar installations at the University campuses.

بہاولپور (پ ر) وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے سیکرٹری توانائی پنجاب ڈاکٹر فرخ نوید سے ملاقات کی۔ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے ڈاکٹر فرخ نوید کو حکومت پنجاب کے محکمہ توانائی کی ذمہ داریاں سنبھالنے پر مبارکباد دی۔ وائس چانسلر نے محکمہ ہائر ایجوکیشن پنجاب میں ڈاکٹر فرخ نوید کی قابل ستائش خدمات کو بھی سراہا۔ اس موقع پر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں بجلی کے مسائل بالخصوص یونیورسٹی کیمپس کو بلاتعطل بجلی کی فراہمی سے متعلق امور پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔ بجلی کی غیر اعلانیہ بندش سے تعلیمی اور تحقیقی سرگرمیاں متاثر ہوتی ہیں۔ وائس چانسلر نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں 2.5 میگاواٹ کے سولر پاور پلانٹ کی کارکردگی سے بھی آگاہ کیا۔ انہوں نے سیکرٹری توانائی سے عباسیہ کیمپس اور بغداد الجدید کیمپس کی عمارتوں پر نصب سولر پینلز کو فعال کرنے کے لیے تعاون کی درخواست کی۔ ڈاکٹر فرخ نوید نے وائس چانسلر کا دورہ کرنے پر شکریہ ادا کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور خطے کی صف اول کی یونیورسٹی ہے اور وہ یونیورسٹی کے لیے اپنے مکمل تعاون کا یقین دلائیں گے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کا سولر پلانٹ پنجاب کے انرجی ڈیپارٹمنٹ نے قائم کیا ہے اور اس کے فعال کام کے ساتھ ساتھ یونیورسٹی کیمپس میں دیگر سولر تنصیبات کی بحالی میں ہر ممکن مدد فراہم کرے گا۔
