BAHAWALPUR (PR) The Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) officially inaugurated the Prime Minister’s Youth Development Centre (PMYDC) today at the Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus. The establishment of this center marks a significant milestone in aligning the university’s academic environment with the federal government's mission to empower the next generation of Pakistani leaders. Addressing the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor emphasized that the prosperity of Pakistan is inextricably linked to the youth’s command over Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging digital technologies. He noted that in the modern global economy, traditional education must be supplemented with high-tech skills to ensure that students are not just degree holders, but competitive professionals on a global scale. "Our youth are the architects of a digital Pakistan. Following the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, IUB is committed to providing a platform where students can transform their potential into economic power through innovation and technological excellence," the Vice Chancellor stated. During the event, Dr. Faisal Shahzad, Focal Person for PMYDC IUB, and Dr. Najia Saher, Youth Ambassador and Chairperson of the Artificial Intelligence Department, provided an in-depth briefing on the center’s operational framework. The PMYDC is designed as a "One-Stop Shop" for students, focusing on four key pillars. Providing access to national and international scholarships,   Bridging the gap between academia and the industry through job placements and internships,  Fostering leadership through student clubs, societies, and national youth dialogues, Supporting startups and digital freelancing initiatives. Dr. Najia Saher highlighted that the Department of Artificial Intelligence will play a pivotal role in the center’s activities. The PMYDC will host regular boot campus and workshops on AI, data analytics, and cyber security, ensuring that IUB students are at the forefront of the Prime Minister’s "Digital Youth Hub" initiative.  The inaugural ceremony was attended by Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Professor Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Chairman Department of Geography Professor Dr. Sher Muhammad Malik, Chairman Department of Horticultural Sciences Professor Dr. Muhammad Nafees, Chairman Department of Media Studies Dr. Adnan Malik, Riaz Hussain Sandhar Department of Seraiki, Ali Azam President ASA, Dr. Hanan Khan Tareen Department of Media Studies, Ansar Abbas, Moazam Durrani, Waqar Mushtaq, Registrar Muhammad Shaji ur Rehman, Director Public Relations Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, faculty members and a large number of students. The ceremony concluded with the Vice Chancellor visiting various wings of the center, including the IT infrastructure and the counseling desk, where he interacted with student ambassadors and encouraged them to lead the digital revolution in the region.

بہاولپور (پ ر) وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے آج بغداد الجدید کیمپس میں پرائم منسٹر یوتھ ڈویلپمنٹ سینٹر کا باضابطہ افتتاح کیا۔ اس سنٹر کا قیام پاکستانی نوجوان نسل کو بااختیار بنانے کے وفاقی حکومت کے مشن کے ساتھ یونیورسٹی کے تعلیمی ماحول کو ہم آہنگ کرنے میں ایک اہم سنگ میل ہے۔ تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے وائس چانسلر نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ پاکستان کی خوشحالی مصنوعی ذہانت اور ابھرتی ہوئی ڈیجیٹل ٹیکنالوجیز پر نوجوانوں کی مہارت سے جڑی ہوئی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ جدید عالمی معیشت میں روایتی تعلیم کو ہائی ٹیک مہارتوں کے ساتھ ضم کرنا ضروری ہے تاکہ یہ یقینی بنایا جاسکے کہ طلباء صرف ڈگری ہولڈر نہیں ہیں بلکہ عالمی سطح پر مسابقتی پیشہ ور ہیں۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ ہمارے نوجوان ڈیجیٹل پاکستان کے معمار ہیں۔ وزیر اعظم محمد شہباز شریف کے وژن پر عمل کرتے ہوئے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور ایک ایسا پلیٹ فارم فراہم کرنے کے لیے پرعزم ہے جہاں طلباء و طالبات جدت اور تکنیکی مہارت کے ذریعے اپنی صلاحیتوں کو معاشی طاقت میں تبدیل کرسکتے ہیں۔ تقریب کے دوران پرائم منسٹر یوتھ ڈویلپمنٹ سینٹر کے فوکل پرسن ڈاکٹر فیصل شہزاد اور آرٹیفیشل انٹیلی جنس ڈیپارٹمنٹ کی چیئرپرسن اور یوتھ ایمبیسیڈر ڈاکٹر ناجیہ سحر نے سینٹر کے آپریشنل فریم ورک کے بارے میں تفصیلی بریفنگ دی۔ اس سینٹر کو طلباء و طالبات کے لیے "ون اسٹاپ شاپ" کے طور پر ڈیزائن کیا گیا ہے، جس میں چار اہم ستونوں پر توجہ دی گئی ہے۔ تعلیم قومی اور بین الاقوامی اسکالرشپس تک رسائی فراہم کرنا، ملازمت کی جگہوں اور انٹرنشپ کے ذریعے اکیڈمیا اور صنعت کے درمیان فرق کو ختم کرنا، طلباء و طالبات کلبوں، سوسائٹیز اور نوجوانوں کے قومی مکالموں کے ذریعے قیادت کو فروغ دینا، انٹرپرینیورشپ سپورٹنگ اسٹارٹ اپس اور ڈیجیٹل فری لانسنگ اقدامات اور ڈیجیٹل اکانومی پر فوکس جیسے اقدامات شامل ہیں۔ طلبہ وزیر اعظم کے "ڈیجیٹل یوتھ ہب" اقدام میں سب سے آگے ہوں۔ افتتاحی تقریب میں ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی، چیئرمین شعبہ جغرافیہ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیر محمد ملک، چیئرمین شعبہ ہارٹیکلچرل سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد نفیس، چیئرمین شعبہ میڈیا اسٹڈیز ڈاکٹر عدنان ملک، ریاض حسین سنڈھرشعبہ سرائیکی، علی اعظم صدر اے ایس اے، ڈاکٹر حنان خان ترین شعبہ میڈیا اسٹڈیز، عنصر عباس، معظم درانی، وقار مشتاق، رجسٹرار محمد شجیع الرحمن، ڈائریکٹر پبلک ریلیشنز ڈاکٹر شہزاد احمد خالد، فیکلٹی ممبران اور طلباء کی کثیر تعداد نے شرکت کی۔ تقریب کا اختتام وائس چانسلر کے مرکز کے مختلف ونگز بشمول آئی ٹی انفراسٹرکچر اور کونسلنگ ڈیسک کے دورے کے ساتھ ہوا جہاں انہوں نے طلباء کے سفیروں سے بات چیت کی اور خطے میں ڈیجیٹل انقلاب کی قیادت کرنے کے لیے ان کی حوصلہ افزائی کی۔
