Vice Chancellor, University of Layyah, Professor Dr. Muhammad Zubair Abu Bakar, visited the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) and held a meeting with Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran. Deans, faculty members and university officials were also present on the occasion. During the meeting, both Vice Chancellors discussed matters of mutual academic interest and explored avenues for strengthening cooperation between the two leading higher education institutions. Particular emphasis was placed on enhancing the quality of education, promoting research and innovation, developing faculty capacity and creating greater opportunities for students through institutional collaboration. The meeting explored possibilities of joint research projects, collaborative academic programmes, capacity-building initiatives, and linkages in emerging fields of science, technology, artificial intelligence, health sciences, social sciences and other disciplines of mutual interest. Both Vice Chancellors expressed their commitment to establishing stronger institutional linkages and facilitating interaction among faculty members, researchers and students of the two universities. They observed that collaboration among Pakistani universities can play an important role in improving academic standards, strengthening research output and preparing graduates to meet the demands of a rapidly changing national and international environment.

یونیورسٹی آف لیہ کے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد زبیر ابوبکر نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کا دورہ کیا اور وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران سے ملاقات کی۔ اس موقع پر ڈینز، فیکلٹی ممبران اور یونیورسٹی کے دیگر حکام بھی موجود تھے۔ ملاقات کے دوران، دونوں وائس چانسلرز نے باہمی تعلیمی دلچسپی کے امور پر تبادلہ خیال کیا اور اعلیٰ تعلیم کے ان دو نمایاں اداروں کے درمیان تعاون کو مزید مستحکم کرنے کے امکانات کا جائزہ لیا۔ اس بات پر خصوصی زور دیا گیا کہ تعلیمی معیار کو بہتر بنایا جائے، تحقیق اور جدت کو فروغ دیا جائے، فیکلٹی کی صلاحیتوں کو نکھارا جائے اور ادارہ جاتی اشتراکِ عمل کے ذریعے طلبہ کے لیے مزید مواقع پیدا کیے جائیں۔ اجلاس میں مشترکہ تحقیقی منصوبوں، باہمی تعلیمی پروگراموں، استعداد کار بڑھانے کے اقدامات اور سائنس، ٹیکنالوجی، مصنوعی ذہانت، ہیلتھ سائنسز، سماجی علوم اور دیگر باہمی دلچسپی کے شعبوں میں روابط قائم کرنے کے امکانات پر غور کیا گیا۔ دونوں وائس چانسلرز نے مضبوط ادارہ جاتی روابط قائم کرنے اور دونوں یونیورسٹیوں کے فیکلٹی ممبران، محققین اور طلبہ کے درمیان باہمی رابطوں کو سہولت فراہم کرنے کے عزم کا اظہار کیا۔ انہوں نے اس بات پر اتفاق کیا کہ پاکستانی یونیورسٹیوں کے درمیان باہمی تعاون تعلیمی معیار کی بہتری، تحقیقی پیداوار کو بڑھانے اور گریجویٹس کو تیزی سے بدلتے ہوئے قومی اور بین الاقوامی ماحول کے تقاضوں سے ہم آہنگ کرنے میں اہم کردار ادا کر سکتا ہے۔
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
