World Youth Skills Day 2025 was celebrated at IUB with the theme of "Youth Empowerment through AI and Digital Skills."

The Department of Information Management at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, in collaboration with the SDGs Collaboration Center and the Fatima Jinnah Women Leadership Centre, successfully organized a Seminar to celebrate the World Youth Skills Day on the theme Youth Empowerment through AI and Digital Skills. The event was chaired by Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, who emphasized the growing need to equip the younger generation with technological competencies to thrive in the digital age and contribute meaningfully to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A distinguished panel of guest speakers enriched the seminar with their insights.  The panel experts include Professor Dr. Salman Bin Naeem Chairman Department of Information Management, Dr. Ghalib Khan Assistant Professor Department of Library and Information Science, Khushal Khan Khattak University of Karak, Dr. Shakeel Ahmad Khan, Associate Professor, Dr. Mahe Bushra Asghar, Associate Professor, Dr. Muhammad Younus, Associate Professor, Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Shafique, Department of Information Management. The speakers collectively highlighted the critical role of Artificial Intelligence and digital competencies in empowering the youth for future challenges. They emphasized on the need to bridging the digital divide and enhancing digital literacy for creating inclusive, innovative, and economically sustainable societies. The event was joined by a large number of students, faculty members, and youth leaders who actively participated in the interactive discussions. The participants expressed enthusiasm about the opportunities provided by AI and digital technologies for career development, entrepreneurship, and social innovation. This collaborative initiative reflects the university’s continued commitment to fostering leadership, technological advancement, and sustainable development through education and research.

بہاولپور (پ ر) اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے شعبہ انفارمیشن مینجمنٹ نے ایس ڈی جیز کولیبریشن سنٹر اور فاطمہ جناح ویمن لیڈرشپ سنٹر کے اشتراک سے یوتھ سکلز ڈے کی مناسبت سے سیمینار کا انعقاد کیا۔ امسال یوتھ سکلز ڈے کا تھیم آرٹیفیشل اینٹلیجنس اور ڈیجیٹل سکلز کے ذریعے نوجوانوں کو بااختیار بنانا۔ تقریب کی صدارت پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز نے کی، جنہوں نے ڈیجیٹل دور میں ترقی کی منازل طے کرنے اور پائیدار ترقی کے اہداف میں بامعنی کردار ادا کرنے کے لیے نوجوان نسل کو تکنیکی صلاحیتوں سے آراستہ کرنے کی بڑھتی ہوئی ضرورت پر زور دیا۔ پینل کے ماہرین میں پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سلمان بن نعیم چیئرمین شعبہ انفارمیشن منیجمنٹ، ڈاکٹر غالب خان اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر شعبہ لائبریری اینڈ انفارمیشن سائنس، خوشحال خان خٹک یونیورسٹی آف کرک، ڈاکٹر شکیل احمد خان، ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ماہ بشریٰ اصغر، ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسر، ڈاکٹر محمد یوسف ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسر، ڈاکٹر حافظ محمد شفیق، شعبہ انفارمیشن مینجمنٹ شامل تھے۔ مقررین نے اجتماعی طور پر مستقبل کے چیلنجوں کے لیے نوجوانوں کو بااختیار بنانے میں مصنوعی ذہانت اور ڈیجیٹل صلاحیتوں کے اہم کردار پر روشنی ڈالی۔ انہوں نے ڈیجیٹل تقسیم کو ختم کرنے اور جامع، اختراعی اور اقتصادی طور پر پائیدار معاشروں کی تشکیل کے لیے ڈیجیٹل خواندگی کو بڑھانے کی ضرورت پر زور دیا۔ تقریب میں طلباء، فیکلٹی ممبران، اور نوجوان رہنماؤں کی ایک بڑی تعداد نے شرکت کی جنہوں نے انٹرایکٹو مباحثوں میں بڑھ چڑھ کر حصہ لیا۔ شرکاء نے کیریئر کی ترقی، انٹرپرینیورشپ، اور سماجی اختراع کے لیے مصنوعی ذہانت اور ڈیجیٹل ٹیکنالوجیز کے ذریعے فراہم کردہ مواقع کے بارے میں جوش و خروش کا اظہار کیا۔ یہ تعاون پر مبنی اقدام تعلیم اور تحقیق کے ذریعے قیادت، تکنیکی ترقی، اور پائیدار ترقی کو فروغ دینے کے لیے یونیورسٹی کے مسلسل عزم کی عکاسی کرتا ہے۔
