The Directorate of Advanced Studies and Research (DASR) at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has a key role in the successful implementation of the postgraduate regulations to maintain the continuous improvement of academic quality, research integrity and scholarship products in keeping with the national policies of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. In pursuit of excellence, the Directorate enhanced the research culture to ensure transparency, plagiarism-free work, and quality work. In this regard, the Directorate of Advanced Studies and Research recently revised the MPhil/PhD/Postdoctroal degrees regulations and revamp the “IUB Guidelines for Synopsis and Thesis Writing” that will provide guidelines for writing and submitting thesis/dissertation/synopsis/research project of BS/MPhil/MS/MSc (Hons)/MBA/LLM/PhD or equivalent programs which will enhance the quality of research. One of the major concerns of the Directorate is the timely completion of degrees within the prescribed time limits and promoting the culture of academic excellence, healthy competition, and institutional support in all the disciplines by encouraging the intradisciplinary studies at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. We encourage innovative, problem solving, and needs oriented research that advances academic research and promotes social development. In addition, the Directorate ensures efficient facilitation of all academic aspects in accordance with University statutory requirements and HEC guidelines. The Directorate of Advanced Studies and Research is dedicated to promoting academic standards, expanding research governance and adding value to the knowledge-based society. Look forward to the continued support of the departments/institutes/colleges in implementing the agenda across all campuses for promoting higher studies, strengthening the research culture and academic excellence in all disciplines.
