Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP)

Scholarship Value: Monthly subsistence allowance of 144,000 JPY (including housing) (amount subject to change)

  • Who is Eligible: Be a national of an ADB borrowing member country and a Japanese Official Development Assistance scholarship eligible country, Be 35 years old or less at the time of application, Have gained admission to an approved master’s course at a Designated Institution.
  • Application Process: ADB-JDS scholarship only accepts applications for September 2026 enrollment in  Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University. Request to be considered for this scholarship within the APU Online Application.

2027 University Recommended MEXT Scholarship, University of Tokyo, Japan

Scholarship Value: 144,000 yen/month for Master's students and 145,000 yen/month for Doctoral students (AY2026 actual amounts; AY2027 amounts are yet to be determined). An additional 2,000 or 3,000 yen/month may be provided for students conducting study or research in designated regions.

For international students with outstanding academic records who wish to enter the Graduate School of Science at The University of Tokyo in October 2027 as new Master's or Doctoral students.

  • Who is Eligible: International students with outstanding academic records who meet the admission requirements for the Master's or Doctoral Program at the Graduate School of Science, The University of Tokyo. Applicants must have a final/current grade point of 2.30 or higher under the MEXT calculation method, be a national of a country with diplomatic relations with Japan, and in principle be born on or after April 2, 1992. Applicants must apply in the same or a related field to their previous studies. English applicants must have CEFR B2 or above, such as TOEFL iBT 72 or IELTS 5.5 or above, unless they meet the specified English-medium education requirement.
  • Scholarship Duration: Master's Program: October 2027–September 2029 (2 years); Doctoral Program: October 2027–September 2030 (3 years).
  • Application Process: Applicants must first complete the admission application for the Graduate School of Science Master's/Doctoral Program and then submit the required MEXT Scholarship documents through the designated online application form. Both the admission application and MEXT scholarship application must be completed before the deadline.
  • Closing date:Friday 30 October 2026 (Japan Standard Time)

Maastricht University NL-High Potential Scholarship, Netherlands

Maastricht University NL-High Potential Scholarship, Netherlands

Scholarship Value: Full scholarship covering tuition fees, living expenses (€20,150 for a one-year Master's or €38,750 for a two-year Master's), health and liability insurance, visa application costs, Pre-Academic Training and the International Student Ambassador Programme. Accommodation is also provided for the first year.

18 full scholarships are offered each academic year to highly talented students from outside the EU/EEA who are admitted to participating full-time Master's programmes at Maastricht University.

  • Who is Eligible: Applicants must be nationals of countries outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland and Surinam, with no dual nationality from an EU/EEA country or Switzerland. Applicants must apply for a participating full-time Master's programme at Maastricht University for the 2027–2028 academic year and complete their admission application by 10 December 2026. Applicants must be 35 years old or younger on 1 September 2027, have excellent academic results with a GPA of at least 7.5 out of 10 (or equivalent), and must not have previously participated in a degree-seeking higher education programme in the Netherlands.
  • Degree Level: Master's degree. Only Master's programmes listed by Maastricht University as participating programmes for the 2027–2028 academic year are eligible.
  • Scholarship Duration: 13 months for a one-year Master's programme or 25 months for a two-year Master's programme.
  • Application Process: First apply for an eligible Master's programme at Maastricht University through Studielink and complete the programme admission application. After receiving a Maastricht University student ID, complete the separate NL-High Potential Scholarship application form. Required documents include a CV, motivation letter, proof of academic excellence, personal statement of financial needs, reference letter and referee contact details.
  • Closing date:Monday 1 February 2027 at 23:59 CET

Scholarship Value: 5 awards of £7,500 towards tuition fees for the first year of undergraduate study

  • Who is Eligible: Students from schools in Pakistan starting a full-time undergraduate degree at Queen's University Belfast in September 2026, predicted to gain AAB at A Level or 34 points from the International Baccalaureate (including 6,6,5 at Higher Level). Exclusions apply.
  • Application Process: Application necessary. Online application with an essay of up to 750 words explaining why you want to study at Queen's and how the programme will help your career aspirations.
  • Closing date:Friday 17 July 2026 at 15:00 BST

Commonwealth Shared Scholarships

Commonwealth Shared Scholarships

Scholarship Value: Fully Funded: tuition fees, maintenance grant, travel costs and some additional allowances

Offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in partnership with Queen's, subject to availability of funding.

  • Who is Eligible: Students from least developed and lower middle income Commonwealth countries (Pakistan included) who could not otherwise afford Master's study in the UK. Eligible courses: MPH Public Health and MA Conflict Transformation and Social Justice.

Essential Academic & Personal Documents
