Bahawalpur (P) 34th senior management course officers from National Institute of Management Islamabad visited the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and met Senior Dean Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum Dean Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences. Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum welcomed the distinguished officers to the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and briefed them about the history of the university, teaching and research in the field of higher education and performance of teaching and non-teaching departments. She said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is a great institution of learning with a hundred years of ancient history. It was founded by Nawab of Bahawalpur Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi V in 1925 as Jamia Abbasia. This university was chartered in 1975, setting various stages of development. Presently the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has around 1400 teachers serving in 15 faculties and 6 campuses. The number of students in the university is around 65 thousand. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is among the top 1000 universities in the world in Times Higher Education ranking. The members of the delegation appreciated Islamia University Bahawalpur's high teaching and research quality, curricular and co-curricular activities and the role of Jamia in promoting higher education in the region.

نیشنل انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف مینجمنٹ اسلام آباد سے آئے ہوئے 34 ویں سینئر مینجمنٹ کورس کے افسران نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کا دورہ کیا اور سینئر ڈین پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شازیہ انجم ڈین فیکلٹی آف کیمیکل اینڈ بائیولوجیکل سائنسز سے ملاقات کی۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شازیہ انجم نے معزز افسران کو اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں خوش آمدید کہا اور یونیورسٹی کی تاریخ، اعلیٰ تعلیم کے شعبے میں تدریس و تحقیق اور تدریسی اور غیر تدریسی شعبہ جات کی کارکردگی سے آگاہ کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور سو سالہ قدیم تاریخ کی حامل عظیم دانش گاہ ہے۔ اس کی بنیاد نواب آف بہاول پور سر صادق محمد خان عباسی پنجم نے 1925 میں جامعہ عباسیہ کے طور پر رکھی۔ یہ جامعہ ترقی کے مختلف مدارج طے کرتے ہوئے 1975 میں چارٹرڈ  قرار پائی۔ اس وقت اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں تقریباً 1400 اساتذہ 15 فیکلٹیوں اور 6 کیمپسز میں خدمات سر انجام دے رہے ہیں۔ یونیورسٹی میں طلباء وطالبات کی تعداد 65 ہزار کے لگ بھگ ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور ٹائمز ہائر ایجوکیشن کی رینکنگ میں دنیا کی 1000 اولین جامعات میں شمار ہوتی ہے۔ وفد کے ارکان نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں اعلیٰ تدریسی و تحقیقی معیار، نصابی اور ہم نصابی سرگرمیوں اور خطے میں اعلیٰ تعلیم کے فروغ میں جامعہ کے کردار کو سراہا۔
