The Department of Physical Education and Sports Science at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur successfully organized a 7-day Scouting Course. This initiative was held in collaboration with the Punjab Boy Scouts Association and marked a significant step toward promoting leadership, discipline, and outdoor skills among BS students. The course, which is an integral part of the BS Physical Education and Sports Science degree program, focused on equipping students with essential scouting skills, fostering teamwork, and building their confidence. Over the span of seven days, students participated in various theoretical and practical activities, including survival techniques, first aid, knot-tying, map reading, and leadership exercises. The course was inaugurated by Dr. Muhammad Zia ul Haq, Chairman of the department, who emphasized the importance of scouting in developing well-rounded personalities and promoting a sense of responsibility in youth. The closing ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Irshad Hussain, Dean Faculty of Education, who appreciated the efforts of both the Department and the Punjab Boy Scouts Association in organizing such an impactful course.  Speaking at the closing ceremony, Chairman of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science, Dr. Muhammad Zia ul Haq highlighted the significance of integrating scouting into the academic curriculum. "This course not only aligns with the core objectives of our BS program but also provides students with practical skills that will benefit them throughout their lives," they stated. The participants were awarded certificates upon successful completion of the course. The collaboration with the Punjab Boy Scouts Association was highly praised and is expected to set a precedent for future initiatives aimed at enhancing students' personal and professional development.

شعبہ فزیکل ایجوکیشن اینڈ سپورٹس سائنس اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے زیر اہتمام 7 روزہ سکاؤٹنگ کورس کا انعقاد کیا۔ یہ اقدام پنجاب بوائے اسکاؤٹس ایسوسی ایشن کے تعاون سے منعقد کیا گیا اور بی ایس کے طلباء میں قیادت، نظم و ضبط اور بیرونی مہارتوں کو فروغ دینے کی جانب ایک اہم قدم ہے۔ یہ کورس، جو بی ایس  فزیکل ایجوکیشن اینڈ اسپورٹس سائنس ڈگری پروگرام کا ایک لازمی حصہ ہے، طلباء کو اسکاؤٹنگ کی ضروری مہارتوں سے آراستہ کرنے، ٹیم ورک کو فروغ دینے، اور ان کا اعتماد بڑھانے پر توجہ مرکوز کرتا ہے۔ سات دنوں کے دوران، طلباء نے مختلف نظریاتی اور عملی سرگرمیوں میں حصہ لیا، بشمول بقا کی تکنیک، ابتدائی طبی امداد، گرہ باندھنا، نقشہ پڑھنا، اور قائدانہ مشقیں۔ کورس کا افتتاح چیئرمین شعبہ ڈاکٹر محمد ضیاء الحق نے کیا، جنہوں نے اچھی شخصیت کی نشوونما اور نوجوانوں میں احساس ذمہ داری کو فروغ دینے میں سکاؤٹنگ کی اہمیت پر زور دیا۔ اختتامی تقریب کی صدارت پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ارشاد حسین، ڈین فیکلٹی آف ایجوکیشن نے کی، جنہوں نے اس طرح کے مؤثر کورس کے انعقاد میں ڈیپارٹمنٹ اور پنجاب بوائے سکاؤٹس ایسوسی ایشن دونوں کی کاوشوں کو سراہا۔ اختتامی تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے شعبہ فزیکل ایجوکیشن اینڈ سپورٹس سائنس کے چیئرمین ڈاکٹر محمد ضیاء الحق نے اسکاؤٹنگ کو تعلیمی نصاب میں ضم کرنے کی اہمیت پر روشنی ڈالی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ "یہ کورس نہ صرف ہمارے بی ایس پروگرام کے بنیادی مقاصد کے ساتھ مطابقت رکھتا ہے بلکہ طلباء کو عملی مہارتیں بھی فراہم کرتا ہے جو انہیں زندگی بھر فائدہ پہنچاتا ہے،" انہوں نے کہا۔ کورس کی کامیابی سے تکمیل پر شرکاء کو اسناد سے نوازا گیا۔ پنجاب بوائے اسکاؤٹس ایسوسی ایشن کے ساتھ تعاون کو بہت سراہا گیا اور امید کی جاتی ہے کہ مستقبل میں ایسے اقدامات کی مثال قائم کی جائے گی جس کا مقصد طلباء کی ذاتی اور پیشہ ورانہ ترقی کو بڑھانا ہے۔
