A cooperation agreement was signed between Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Iqbal Academy Pakistan at Abbasia Campus

The Islamia University Bahawalpur and Iqbal Academy Pakistan signed a cooperation agreement today at Abbasia Campus. The memorandum of understanding was signed by Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Vice Chancellor of Islamia University Bahawalpur and Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqi, Director of Iqbal Academy Pakistan.  Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jameel, Registrar of Islamia University, Bahawalpur, and Dr. Muhammad Rafiqul Islam, Chairman, Department of Philosophy, and Iqbaliat were also present on this occasion.  The three-day celebrations in memory of Iqbal were organised by the Department of Iqbaliat Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Punjab Arts Council Bahawalpur Division and Wasib Halls Bahawalpur. Dr. Muhammad Rafiqul Islam, Chairman of the Department of Iqbaliat and Philosophy, while presenting the performance of the Iqbaliat department in his opening remarks, said that this department has formally launched PhD and MPhil in a very short period of time with the approval of the Higher Education Commission. A memorandum of understanding was accomplished with Al-Azhar University Cairo Egypt,  International Iqbal Center, and the launch of Post Doctorate are achievements of the department. He further said that the research journal of the department has been included in the Y category of HEC. Dr. Mohammad Arif Khan, an expert on Iqbal and Quran studies from London, emphasized the need to look at Iqbal's thought and Islamic teachings in the context of today's priorities and said that Iqbal's thought determined the stages of human development, Jahan Bini and Jahan Sazi.  Professor Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqi, Director of Iqbal Academy Pakistan, in his special lecture, highlighted Iqbal's thoughts and  said that the teachings of Iqbal are indispensable in formation and character building.  He called the Quran the source of Iqbal's thoughts and said that our success lies in the meaning of Iqbal's thoughts.  Well-known writer and poet and parliamentarian Syed Tabish Alwari while appreciating the performance of the department said that the department of Iqbaliat is a very rich department.Iqbal's message is universal and Iqbal was a great man of history and an association in his own right.  Pakistan was made possible by his teachings.  Now, the dream of development and stability of the beloved country will be fulfilled through his teachings.Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum Dean Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences appreciated the efforts of the Iqbaliat department.  She said that the new generation can hone their skills with Iqbal and Quranic teachings.  In her closing address, she thanked the guest experts in Iqbaliat.

بہاول پور(پ ر) اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اور اقبال اکادمی پاکستان کے درمیان باہمی تعاون کے معاہدے پر دستخط کی تقریب منعقد ہوئی۔ مفاہمتی یادداشت پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اور ڈاکٹر عبدالرؤف رفیقی ڈائریکٹر اقبال اکادمی پاکستان نے دستخط کیے۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر معظم جمیل رجسٹرار اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اور ڈاکٹر محمد رفیق الاسلام چیئرمین شعبہ اقبالیات و فلسفہ بھی موجود تھے۔بعدا زاں شعبہ اقبالیات، پنجاب آرٹس کونسل بہاول پور ڈویژن اور وسیب ہالز بہاول پور کے اشتراک سے یومِ اقبال کے سلسلے میں مرکزی تقریب اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے گھوٹوی ہال میں منعقد ہوئی۔ فکرِاقبال مشرق و مغرب کے لیے مشعلِ راہ ہے۔ ان خیالات کا اظہار پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالرؤف رفیقی ڈائریکٹر اقبال اکادمی پاکستان لاہور نے سہ روزہ تقریبات بہ یادِ اقبال کی مرکزی تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کیا۔  ڈاکٹر محمد رفیق الاسلام چیئرمین شعبہ اقبالیات و فلسفہ نے افتتاحی کلمات میں شعبہ اقبالیات کی کارکردگی پیش کرتے ہوئے بتایا کہ اس شعبے نے نہایت قلیل مدت میں پی ایچ ڈی اور ایم فل کا باقاعدہ اجرا ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن کی منظوری سے کیا۔ جامعہ الازہر کے ساتھ مفاہمتی یاداشت مکمل کی گئی۔ بین الاقوامی اقبال سنٹر اور پوسٹ ڈاکٹریٹ کا آغاز شعبے کی کامیابیاں ہیں۔ انھوں نے مزید کہا کہ شعبہ کا تحقیقی مجلہ ایچ ای سی کی وائی کیٹگری میں شامل کیا جاچکا ہے۔ لندن سے آئے ہوئے ماہرِ اقبالیات و قرآنیات پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد عارف خان نے فکرِ اقبال اور اسلامی تعلیمات کو آج کی ترجیحات کے تناظر میں دیکھنے کی ضرورت پر زور دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ اقبال کی فکر سے انسان سازی، جہاں بینی اور جہاں سازی کے مراحل طے کیے جاسکتے ہیں۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالرؤف رفیقی ڈائریکٹر اقبال اکادمی پاکستان نے اپنے خصوصی لیکچر میں اقبال کے شرقی و غربی علوم پر روشنی ڈالی۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ فکرِ اقبال تشکیل و کردارسازی میں ناگزیر ہے۔ انھوں اقبال کی افکار کا ماخذ قرآنِ مجید کو قرار دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ ہماری کامیابی افکارِ اقبال کی معنویت میں مضمر ہے۔ معروف ادیب و شاعر اور پارلیمنٹیرین سید تابش الوری نے شعبہ کی کارکردگی کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ شعبہ اقبالیات نہایت کا حامل شعبہ ہے۔ اقبال کا پیغام آفاقی ہے اوراقبال تاریخ کے عظیم انسان اور اپنی ذات میں ایک انجمن تھے۔ ان کی تعلیمات سے پاکستان کا حصول ممکن ہوا۔ اب ان کی تعلیمات سے وطنِ عزیز کی ترقی واستحکام کا خواب پورا ہوگا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شازیہ انجم ڈین فیکلٹی آف کیمیکل اینڈ بائیولوجیکل سائنسز نے شعبہ اقبالیات کی کاوشوں کی تعریف کی۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ اقبال اور قرآنی تعلیمات سے نسلِ نو اپنی صلاحیتوں کا لوہا منوا سکتی ہے۔ اپنے اختتامی خطاب میں انھوں نے مہمان ماہرینِ اقبالیات کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ تقریب کے اختتام پر یادگاری شیلڈز بھی تقسیم کی گئیں۔ نقابت کے فرائض ڈاکٹر محمد اصغر سیال اور ڈاکٹر ارم صبا نے انجام دیئے۔ آئی۔ یو۔ بی قرآت و نعت سوسائٹی کے ملک یوسف، فیضان ریاض اور تاثیر فاطمہ نے اپنی سُریلی آواز میں کلامِ اقبال پیش کیا۔
