A delegation from the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Muzaffarabad visited the Islamia University of Bahawalpur

A delegation from the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Muzaffarabad visited the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and reviewed the ongoing academic and research activities in the university. Prof. Dr. Bashir ur Rahman said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur's progress in the field of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences in the last three years is an example worthy of imitation for the universities and health sector of Pakistan. He said that University Nursing College is proving to be very helpful in providing manpower at this time there is a dire need of manpower in the field of nursing. The delegation appreciated the leadership of Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob. The delegation expressed interest in starting BS Nursing and Pharmacy program in University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Principal University College of Nursing Farhan Mukhtar and Prof. Dr. Haji Muhammad Shoaib Khan gave a detailed briefing of their departments. The delegation visited Hakra Art Gallery, Institute of Business and Administrative Science and also visited the Solar Project. The delegation was briefed about the phenomenal growth in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in terms of subjects taught, total number of students and total number of faculty members. The delegation also expressed interest in signing an MoU between Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Muzaffarabad for student and faculty exchange program. The delegation met the Pro-Vice Chancellor and Dean Faculty of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar at the Vice-Chancellor’s Secretariat and had a detailed discussion about the steps taken to promote education in Medicine and Allied Health Sector in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

یونیورسٹی آف آزاد جموں و کشمیر مظفرآباد کے ایک وفد نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کا دورہ کیا اور جامعہ میں جاری علمی و تحقیقی سرگرمیوں کا جائزہ لیا۔ وفد کی سربراہی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر بشیر الرحمن ڈین فیکلٹی آف میڈیسن یونیورسٹی آف آزاد جموں و کشمیر مظفرآباد نے کی۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر بشیر الرحمن نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے میڈیسن اینڈ الائیڈ ہیلتھ سائنسز کے شعبے میں گزشتہ تین برسوں میں جو ترقی کی ہے وہ پاکستان کی جامعات اور ہیلتھ سیکٹر کے لیے قابل تقلید مثال ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ یونیورسٹی نرسنگ کالج افرادی قوت فراہم کرنے میں بہت مددگار ثابت ہو رہا ہے اس وقت نرسنگ کے شعبے میں افرادی قوت کی اشد ضرور ت ہے۔ وفد نے وائس چانسلراسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کی قیادت کو سراہا۔ وفد نے یونیورسٹی آف آزاد جموں و کشمیر میں بی ایس نرسنگ اورفارمیسی پروگرام شروع کرنے میں دلچسپی کا اظہار کیا۔ پرنسپل یونیورسٹی کالج آف نرسنگ فرحان مختار اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حاجی محمد شعیب خان نے اپنے شعبہ جات کی تفصیلی بریفنگ دی۔ وفد نے ہاکرہ آرٹ گیلری، آئی بی ایم ایس اور سولر پروجیکٹ کا بھی دورہ کیا۔ وفد کو اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں پڑھائے جانے والے مضامین، طلباء کی کل تعداد اور فیکلٹی ممبران کی مجموعی تعداد کے لحاظ سے غیر معمولی ترقی کے بارے میں بریفنگ دی گئی۔ اس موقع پر طلباء اور فیکلٹی ایکسچینج پروگرام کے لیے فیکلٹی آف میڈیسن اینڈ الائیڈ ہیلتھ سائنسز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اور یونیورسٹی آف آزاد جموں و کشمیر مظفرآباد کے درمیان ایک مفاہمت نامے پر دستخط کرنے میں بھی دلچسپی ظاہر کی۔ وفد نے پرو وائس چانسلر اور ڈین فیکلٹی آف فارمیسی اینڈالائیڈ ہیلتھ سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر سے وائس چانسلر سیکرٹریٹ میں ملاقات کی اور اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں میڈیسن اینڈ الائیڈ ہیلتھ سیکٹر میں تعلیم کے فروغ کے لیے کیے گئے اقدامات سے متعلق تفصیلی تبادلہ خیال کیا۔
