A delegation of Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by President Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali Maan, met with Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar in his office. Former Presidents Chaudhry Javed Iqbal, Malik Ijaz Nazim, Senior Vice President Hanif Ahmed, Secretary Abeer Haider, Registrar Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jamil and other senior officers were present on this occasion. The Vice Chancellor said that Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Islamia University of Bahawalpur have been promoting academia and industry linkages for years. This cooperation and communication will be further strengthened. In this regard, the arrival of the Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry delegation to the university is welcome. President Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali Maan said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is the most reliable institution of higher education in Bahawalpur region. The thousands of teachers, employees and students in the university are an important part of the social and economic development of Bahawalpur. Unfortunately, the recent events and the baseless propaganda on social media are not good for educational development. However, steps will be taken for the betterment of the university in collaboration with the university community. On this occasion, matters such as the ongoing admission campaign, curricular and co-curricular activities and the university's relation and links with industrial and commercial institutions were also discussed.

بہاول پور چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کے وفد نے صدر چوہدری ذوالفقار علی مان کی قیادت میں وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر سے ان کے دفتر میں ملاقات کی۔ اس موقع پر سابق صدور چوہدری جاوید اقبال، ملک اعجاز ناظم، سینئر نائب صدر حنیف احمد، سیکڑری عبیر حیدر، رجسٹرار پروفیسر ڈاکٹر معظم جمیل اور دیگر سینئر افسران موجود تھے۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ بہاول پور چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری اور اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور برسہا برس سے اکیڈمیا اور انڈسٹری لنکجز کو فروغ دے رہے ہیں۔ اس تعاون اور رابطے کو مزید مضبوط کیا جائے گا۔ اس سلسلے میں بہاول پور چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کے وفد کی جامعہ میں آمد خوش آئند ہے۔ صدر بہاول پور چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری چوہدری ذوالفقار علی مان نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور علاقے میں اعلیٰ تعلیم کا سب سے معتبر ادارہ ہے۔ یونیورسٹی میں موجود ہزاروں کی تعدادمیں اساتذہ، ملازمین اور طلباء وطالبات بہاول پور کی سماجی اور معاشی ترقی کا اہم جزو ہیں۔ بدقسمتی سے حالیہ واقعات اور سوشل میڈیا پر ہونے والابے بنیاد پروپیگنڈا تعلیمی ترقی کے لیے اچھے اثرات کا حامل نہیں۔ تاہم یونیورسٹی کمیونٹی کے ساتھ ملکر جامعہ کی بہتری کے لیے اقدامات کیے جائیں گے۔ اس موقع پر یونیورسٹی میں جاری داخلہ مہم، نصابی اور ہم نصابی سرگرمیوں اور صنعتی اور تجارتی اداروں سے یونیورسٹی کے تعلق اور روابط جیسے معاملات پر بھی تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔
