A delegation of Evyol Group of Companies visited the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and called on the Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob at his office in Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Director National Cotton Breeding Institute was also present. They discussed the biosafety trials of new multiple gene cotton varieties. Dr. Khalid Abdullah explained the protocol of environmental biosafety trials, which will be conducted in collaboration with Evyol Group of Companies. Various departments of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur including Entomology, Soil Science, Plant Breeding, and Genetics and National Cotton Breeding Institute, will actively conduct various studies. Vice Chancellor appreciated the gesture of Evyol Group of Companies for sponsoring the biosafety studies required by the National Biosafety Committee for introducing new genes in Pakistan  He also recognized the past agreements on research collaborations with Evyol Group.  The Vice-Chancellor also emphasized that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is committed to developing ties with the private sector, which will lead to national development. The delegates also paid a visit to cotton research farms and appreciated the quality of the research work and expected outcome of hardworking researchers. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, Director National Cotton Breeding Institute, Prof. Dr. Anjum Aqeel Chairman Department of Entomology, Chairman Department of Soil Science Dr. Maqshoof Ahmad, Dr. Muhammad Sajjad Manager Research and Innovation ORIC IUB,  Mr. Abdul Rehman Lecturer and Dr. Usman Aziz was also present.

ایوول گروپ آف کمپنیز کے وفد نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کا دورہ کیا اور وائس چانسلر انجینئرپروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب سے ملاقات کی۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد اقبال ڈائریکٹر نیشنل کاٹن بریڈنگ انسٹی ٹیوٹ بھی موجود تھے۔ انہوں نے نئی متعدد جین کپاس کی اقسام کے بائیو سیفٹی ٹرائلز پر تبادلہ خیال کیا۔ ڈاکٹر خالد عبداللہ نے ماحولیاتی بائیو سیفٹی ٹرائلز کے پروٹوکول کی وضاحت کی، جوایوول گروپ آف کمپنیز کے تعاون سے منعقد کیے جائیں گے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے مختلف شعبہ جات بشمول اینٹومولوجی، سوائل سائنس، پلانٹ بریڈنگ، اینڈ جینیٹکس اور نیشنل کاٹن بریڈنگ انسٹی ٹیوٹ، مختلف سیمینار اور کانفرنسرز کا انعقاد کریں گے۔ وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے پاکستان میں نئے جینز متعارف کرانے کے لیے نیشنل بائیو سیفٹی کمیٹی کی جانب سے درکار بائیو سیفٹی اسٹڈیز کو سپانسر کرنے پر ایوول گروپ آف کمپنیز کے اقدام کو سراہا۔ وائس چانسلر نے اس بات پر بھی زور دیا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پرائیویٹ سیکٹر کے ساتھ تعلقات استوار کرنے کے لیے پرعزم ہے جس سے ملکی ترقی ہوگی۔ مندوبین نے کاٹن ریسرچ فارمز کا دورہ بھی کیا اور تحقیقی کام کے معیار اور محنتی محققین کے متوقع نتائج کو سراہا۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد اقبال، ڈائریکٹر نیشنل کاٹن بریڈنگ انسٹی ٹیوٹ، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر انجم عقیل چیئرمین شعبہ اینٹامولوجی، چیئرمین شعبہ سوائل سائنس ڈاکٹر مکشوف احمد، ڈاکٹر محمد سجاد منیجر ریسرچ اینڈ انوویشن اورک، ڈاکٹر محمد اقبال، ڈاکٹر عثمان عزیز اورعبدالرحمن لیکچرار بھی موجود تھے۔
