A delegation of teachers from Balochistan visited the Islamia University of Bahawalpur

Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob has said that Jamia Islamia is a beautiful bouquet of students from all provinces and regions of the country and a symbol of national unity. The Vice Chancellor expressed these views in a meeting with a delegation of teachers from different colleges of Balochistan. The Vice Chancellor said that hundreds of students from Balochistan come to study in Islamia University Bahawalpur. During the university education, they are well hosted and special scholarships and bursaries are arranged for them. For this purpose, the special support of Governor Secretariat Lahore, Government of Punjab and Balochistan Education Endowment Fund, Government of Balochistan is also included. More than 1200 teachers are engaged in teaching in more than 300 disciplines of 16 faculties. He further said that the university is also an example in research activities and projects like cotton, corn and soybean intercropping reflect the aspirations and priorities of the country. The members visited Abbasia Campus, Ghulam Muhammad Ghotvi Hall, Hakra Art Gallery, Solar Park, Central Library and Main Auditorium. The members of the delegation greatly appreciated the ongoing teaching and research activities in Islamia University and the current expansion and development under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor. On this occasion, Dean Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Aftab Hussain Gillani, Director Press Media and Publications, Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, Deputy Registrar Public Affairs, Fatima Muzahir were also present. Lunch was also organized at the university guest house for the delegation from Balochistan.

انجینئرپروفیسرڈاکٹراطہرمحبوب نے کہا ہے کہ جامعہ اسلامیہ ملک کے تمام صوبوں اور علاقوں سے آئے ہوئے طلبا ؤطالبات کا خوبصورت گلدستہ اورملکی اتحاد اور یگانگت کی علامت ہے۔ وائس چانسلر نے ان خیالات کا اظہار بلوچستان کے مختلف کالجز سے آئے ہوئے اساتذہ کے وفد سے ملاقات کے میں کیا۔ وفد میں اساتذہ نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کا دورہ کیا۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ بلوچستان سے سینکڑوں کی تعداد میں طلبا ؤ طالبات اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں تعلیم حاصل کرنے کے لئے آتے ہیں۔ یونیورسٹی دوران تعلیم ان کی بھرپور میزبانی کرتی ہے اور ان کے لئے خصوصی سکالرشپس اور وظائف کا اہتمام کیا جاتا ہے۔ اس مقصد کے لئے گورنرسیکریٹریٹ لاہور، حکومت پنجاب اوربلوچستان ایجوکیشن انڈومنٹ فنڈ حکومت بلوچستان کا بھی خصوصی تعاون شامل ہے۔انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور طلبا ؤ طالبات کی تعداد کے لحاظ سے ملک کی سب سے بڑی یونیورسٹی بن چکی ہے اور اس وقت 55 ہزارسے زائد طلبا ؤ طالبات یونیورسٹی میں زیرتعلیم ہیں جبکہ ساڑھے 1200 سے زائد اساتذہ 16 فیکلٹیوں کے300 ڈسپلنز میں درس وتدریس میں مصروفِ عمل ہیں۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ یونیورسٹی تحقیقی سرگرمیوں میں بھی اپنی مثال آپ ہے اورکپاس و مکئی اور سویا بین انٹرکراپنگ جیسے منصوبے ملکی امنگوں اورترجیحات کے آئینہ دار ہیں۔ وفد کے ارکان نے عباسیہ کیمپس، غلام محمد گھوٹوی ہال، ہاکڑہ آرٹ گیلری، سولر پارک، مرکزی لائبریری اور آڈیٹوریم کا دورہ کیا۔ وفد کے ارکان نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی میں جاری تدریسی، تحقیقی سرگرمیوں اوروائس چانسلرکی قیادت میں موجودہ توسیع اورترقی کو بے حد سراہا ہے۔ اس موقع ڈین فیکلٹی آف لاء پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آفتاب حسین گیلانی، ڈائریکٹرپریس میڈیا اینڈ پبلیکشنز شہزاد احمد خالد، ڈپٹی رجسٹرار پبلک افئیرز فاطمہ مظاہر بھی موجود تھے۔ وائس چانسلر کی ہدایت پر بلوچستان سے آئے وفد کے لئے یونیورسٹی گیسٹ ہاؤس میں ظہرانے کا بھی اہتمام کیا گیا۔
