A free Veterinary treatment Camp at IUB

The department of Clinical Medicine and Surgery organized one day free Veterinary treatment Camp with cooperation of Nawan Laboratories Pvt Ltd. Livestock farmers from the vicinity of the university visited the camp along with their animals (total number of 200). Faculty members of the department along with their student thoroughly examined and treated the diseased animals with the help of medicines provided by the Nawan Laboratories. Moreover, the animals were given the dewormers to reduce the worm burdens of the animals and hence to improve their growth and milk production as a prophylactic measure. In addition, the livestock Farmers were given useful tips to keep their animals healthy and productive. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khalid Mansoor, Dean, Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences graced the event by his presence and valuable instructions. The Dean appreciated the efforts of the department under the chairmanship of Dr. Abdul Qayyum and encouraged the faculty members, para veterinary staff and students for organizing such type of activities. The Dean also added that such type of activities are not only useful for the farmer community but also provide excellent opportunity to enhance the professional skills of veterinary students. He also said to continue such professional activities in future.

شعبہ کلینیکل میڈیسن اینڈ سرجری فیکلٹی آف ویٹرنری اینڈ اینیمل سائنسز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے نوا ں لیبارٹریز پرائیویٹ لمیٹڈ لائیو سٹاک کے کاشت کاروں کے تعاون سے ایک روزہ مفت ویٹرنری ٹریٹمنٹ کیمپ کا انعقاد کیا۔شعبہ کے فیکلٹی ممبران نے اپنے طالب علم کے ساتھ نواں لیبارٹریز کی فراہم کردہ دوائیوں کی مدد سے بیمار جانوروں کا مکمل معائنہ کیا اور ان کا علاج کیا۔ مزید برآں جانوروں کو جانوروں کے کیڑے کے بوجھ کو کم کرنے اور اس وجہ سے ان کی افزائش اور دودھ کی پیداوار کو بہتر بنانے کے لیے علاج معالجہ فراہم کیا گیا۔ اس کے علاوہ مویشیوں کے کاشتکاروں کو اپنے جانوروں کو صحت مند اور پیداواری رکھنے کے لئے مفید نکا ت بتائے گئے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد خالد منصور، ڈین، فیکلٹی آف ویٹرنری اینڈ اینیمل سائنسز اس موقع پر موجود تھے۔پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد خالد منصور  نے ڈاکٹر عبد القیوم کی زیر صدارت شعبہ کی کاوشوں کو سراہا اور فیکلٹی ممبران، پیرا ویٹرنری اسٹاف اور طلباء کو اس قسم کی سرگرمیوں کے انعقاد کے لئے حوصلہ افزائی کی۔پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد خالد منصور نے یہ بھی مزید کہا کہ اس قسم کی سرگرمیاں نہ صرف کسان برادری کے لئے مفید ہیں بلکہ ویٹرنری طلباء کی پیشہ ورانہ صلاحیتوں کو بڑھانے کے لئے بہترین موقع فراہم کرتی ہیں۔
