MoU signed between Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, IUB and Department of Pathology, QAMC BWP

A one-day national seminar on the role of medical laboratory science and blood transfusion in Drug Abuse & Toxicology, was organized by the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The seminar was presided over by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar. A Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and the Department of Pathology, Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur. Under the agreement, medical laboratory technology students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur will be provided opportunities to undergo training in the Department of Pathology Laboratory, Quaid-e-Azam Medical College. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhtar Chairman Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Prof. Dr. Asma Shaukat Chairperson Department of Pathology Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Bahawalpur signed the agreement. Chairman Department Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhtar said that there is a strong link between anti-narcotics and medical laboratory technology and blood transfusion and he was grateful for the special patronage and guidance of Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob for organizing the seminar in this regard. Prof. Dr. Ayub Khan, Prof. Dr. Asma Shaukat, Dr. Uzma Chauhan, Dr. Shahnaz Noor, Dr. Sara Raza, Dr. Syed Salman Rizvi and Prof. Dr. Qaiser Jabeen addressed the seminar.

شعبہ میڈیکل لیبارٹری ٹیکنالوجی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاو ل پور کے زیر اہتمام انسداد منشیات میں میڈیکل لیبارٹری سائنس اور انتقالِ خون کے کردار کے موضوع پر ایک روزہ قومی سیمینار کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ سیمینار کی صدارت پرو وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر نے کی۔ شعبہ میڈیکل لیبارٹری ٹیکنالوجی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اور شعبہ پتھالوجی قائداعظم میڈیکل کالج بہاول پور کے درمیان مفاہمتی یادداشت پر بھی دستخط ہوئے۔ معاہدے کی رو سے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے میڈیکل لیبارٹری ٹیکنالوجی کے طلبا کو قائد اعظم میڈیکل کالج کی شعبہ پتھالوجی لیبارٹری میں تربیت حاصل کرنے کے مواقع فراہم کیے جائیں گے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد اختر چیئرمین شعبہ میڈیکل لیبارٹری ٹیکنالوجی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پوراور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عصمہ شوکت چیئرپرسن شعبہ پتھالوجی قائد اعظم میڈیکل کالج بہاول پور نے دستخط کیے۔ چیئرمین شعبہ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد اختر نے کہاکہ انسداد منشیات اور میڈیکل لیبارٹری ٹیکنالوجی اور انتقالِ خون کا آپس میں گہرا تعلق ہے اور اس سلسلے میں سیمینار کے انعقاد پر وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کی خصوصی سرپرستی اور رہنمائی کے شکرگزار ہیں۔ سیمینار میں پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ایوب خان، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عصمہ شوکت، ڈاکٹر عظمیٰ چوہان، ڈاکٹر شہناز نور، ڈاکٹر سارا رضا، ڈاکٹر سید سلمان رضوی اورپروفیسر ڈاکٹر قیصر جبین نے خطاب کیا۔
