A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Punjab Council of Arts, Information and Culture Department, Government of Punjab at Abbasia Campus for promotion of art and culture. Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar and Dr. Syed Bilal Haider Executive Director General Punjab Council of Arts signed the Memorandum of Understanding. The purpose of this agreement is to organize joint research activities, events, publications in the fields of art, craft, creative literature, fine art, theatre, drama, music, cultural tourism and other related fields. The Punjab Arts Council will also provide internship and job opportunities to the graduates of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and provide easy repayment loans to promote entrepreneurship. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar appreciated the arrival of Director General Punjab Council of Arts Dr. Syed Bilal Haider in Bahawalpur and the initiatives for mutual cooperation between Arts Council and academia. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur organizes Bahawalpur Literary and Cultural Festival every year. Under the College of Art and Design and the Directorate of Students Affairs, student societies are doing significant work for the promotion of art and culture. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur cooperation with Punjab Council will be beneficial for both institutions. Dr. Syed Bilal Haider Executive Director General Punjab Council of Arts said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is a big and reputed university of Pakistan and there are opportunities for the teachers and students of Jamia by Punjab Arts Council. He said that Bahawalpur Expo is being held in the style of the exhibition to be held in Lahore next month, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur will be invited to participate in it. On this occasion, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Registrar Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jamil, Sajjad Hussain Director Arts Council Bahawalpur, Director Media and Public Relations Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, Principal College of Art and Design Farhana Altaf, Deputy Registrar Public Affairs Fatima Muzahir, Senior Producer FM Radio Campus Agha Sadaf Mehdi, Sohail Kamran Assistant Director Arts Council Bahawalpur and Muhammad Shahbaz Personal Staff Officer Arts Council Bahawalpur were present.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اور پنجاب کونسل آف آرٹس، انفارمیشن اینڈ کلچر ڈیپارٹمنٹ حکومت پنجاب کے مابین آرٹ اینڈ کلچر کے فروغ کے لیے عباسیہ کیمپس میں مفاہمتی یادداشت پر دستخط ہوئے۔ وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر اور ڈاکٹر سید بلال حیدر ایگزیکٹو ڈائریکٹر جنرل پنجاب کونسل آف آرٹس نے مفاہمتی یادداشت پر دستخط کیے۔ اس معاہدے کا مقصد اکیڈمیا کو آرٹ، کرافٹ، تخلیقی ادب، فائن آرٹ، تھیٹر، ڈرامہ، موسیقی، ثقافتی سیاحت اور دیگر متعلقہ شعبوں میں مشترکہ تحقیقی سرگرمیاں، ایونٹس، مطبوعات جیسی سرگرمیوں کا انعقاد ہے۔ آرٹس کونسل پنجاب اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے گریجویٹس کو انٹرنشپ اور ملازمتوں کے مواقع بھی فراہم کرے گی اور انٹرپرینیورشپ کے فروغ کے لیے آسان ادائیگی پر قرضے بھی فراہم کرے گی۔ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر نے ڈائریکٹر جنرل پنجاب کونسل آف آرٹس ڈاکٹر سید بلال حیدر کی بہاول پور آمد اور آرٹس کونسل اور اکیڈمیا کے مابین باہمی تعاون کے لیے اقدامات کو سراہا۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور ہر سال بہاول پور لٹریری اینڈ کلچرل فیسٹیول منعقد کرتی ہے۔ کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن اور ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف سٹوڈنٹس افیئرز کے زیر اہتمام طلباء سوسائیٹیز آرٹ اور کلچر کے فروغ کے لیے نمایاں کام کر رہی ہیں۔ جامعہ اسلامیہ کا پنجاب کونسل سے تعاون دونوں اداروں کے لیے فائدہ مند ہوگا۔ ڈاکٹر سید بلال حیدر ایگزیکٹو ڈائریکٹر جنرل پنجاب کونسل آف آرٹس نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور پاکستان کی ایک بڑی اور نامور یونیورسٹی ہے اور جامعہ کے اساتذہ اور طلباء کے لیے پنجاب آرٹس کونسل کی طرف سے مواقع موجود ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ بہاول پور ایکسپو آئندہ ماہ لاہور میں ہونے والی نمائش کی طرز پر ہو رہی ہے اس میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کو بھرپور شرکت کی دعوت دی جائے گی۔ اس موقع پر ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی، رجسٹرار پروفیسر ڈاکٹر معظم جمیل، سجاد حسین ڈائریکٹر آرٹس کونسل بہاول پور، ڈائریکٹر میڈیا اینڈ پبلک ریلیشنز شہزاد احمد خالد، پرنسپل کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن فرہانہ الطاف، ڈپٹی رجسٹرار پبلک افیئرز فاطمہ مظاہر، سینئر پروڈیوسر ایف ایم ریڈیو کیمپس آغا صدف مہدی، سہیل کامران اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر آرٹس کونسل بہاول پور اور محمد شہباز پرسنل اسٹاف آفیسر آرٹس کونسل بہاول پور موجود تھے
