A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and State Bank of Pakistan. The agreement was signed by Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Abdullah Khan, Chief Manager State Bank of Pakistan. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal Dean Faculty of Management Sciences and Dr. Areba Khan were present as the focal person. Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob expressed his vision regarding mutual cooperation between academia and industry and appreciated the efforts of Dr. Jawad Iqbal and Dr. Areba Khan in implementing this cooperation. Mujib ur Rehman Assistant Chief Manager State Bank of Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amjad Dean Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum Dean Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences, Dr. Owais Shafiq, Dr. Waseem Hameed, Mohsin Mateen, Dr. Muhammad Shafiq, Dr. Hasan Mujtaba, Nawaz Saleem and other faculty members from Faculty of Management Sciences and Commerce participated. Dr. Areba Khan informed about the mutual cooperation and collaboration between the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and State Bank of Pakistan and thanked all the participants. Abdullah Khan highlighted the importance of cooperation between the two institutions and the role of State Bank in enhancing financial literacy in the region and discussed the proposal to establish a Center for Financial Literacy at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اور اسٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان کے درمیان مفاہمتی یادداشت پر دستخط ہوئے۔ معاہدے پر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور، عبداللہ خان چیف منیجراسٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان نے دستخط کئے۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر جواد اقبال ڈین فیکلٹی آف مینجمنٹ سائنسز اور ڈاکٹر اریبہ خان  بطور فوکل موجود تھیں۔ انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے اکیڈمیا اور انڈسٹری کے باہمی تعاون کے حوالے سے اپنے وژن کا اظہار کیا اور اس تعاون کو عملی جامہ پہنانے میں ڈاکٹر جواد اقبال اور ڈاکٹر اریبہ خان کی کوششوں کو سراہا۔ تقریب میں مجیب الرحمٰن اسسٹنٹ چیف منیجراسٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد امجد ڈین فیکلٹی آف انجینئرنگ، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شازیہ انجم ڈین فیکلٹی آف کیمیکل اینڈ بائیو لوجیکل سائنسز، ڈاکٹر اویس شفیق، ڈاکٹر وسیم الحمید، محسن متین، ڈاکٹر محمد شفیق، ڈاکٹر حسن مجتبیٰ نواز سلیم اور فیکلٹی آف مینجمنٹ سائنسز اینڈ کامرس سے دیگر فیکلٹی ممبران نے شرکت کی۔ ڈاکٹر اریبہ خان نے  اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اور اسٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان کے درمیان باہمی تعاون و اشتراک سے متعلق آگاہ کیا اور تمام شرکاء کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ عبداللہ خان نے دونوں اداروں کے درمیان تعاون کی اہمیت اور علاقے میں مالیاتی خواندگی کو بڑھانے میں اسٹیٹ بینک کے کردار پر روشنی ڈالی اور اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں سینٹر فار فنانشل لٹریسی کے قیام کی تجویز پر تبادلہ خیال کیا۔
