“Architects South Punjab Convention 2023: A Milestone for Islamia University of Bahawalpur’s Architecture Department”

Bahawalpur (P) Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amjad Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Prof. Dr. Rao Imran Habib Dean Faculty of Law and AR Ayaz Mehmood, Chairman, Department of Architecture presented shield and certificate regarding Architects South Punjab Convention 2023 to Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar in his office. This shield and certificate was awarded by Governor Punjab and Chancellor Engr. Muhammad Balighur Rehman on the occasion of South Punjab Architects Convention held in Bahawalpur last week in recognition of the valuable services of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur thanked AR Muhammad Arif Chingizi, Chairman Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners and AR Dr. Yasmin Ahmad, Executive Committee of Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners Punjab. He praised Architect Ayaz Mehmood, Head of Department of Architecture, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, for the excellent arrangements and efforts of this convention. It is noteworthy that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is the only university in Bahawalpur region where the Department of Architecture is established and is playing a significant role in the education and research of architecture in the region. Bachelor of Architecture 5-year accredited degree program is ongoing in this department which is approved by Pakistan Architects and Town Planners Council.

بہاول پور (پ ر) انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد امجد ڈین فیکلٹی آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر راو عمران حبیب ڈین فیکلٹی آف لاء اور اے آر ایاز محمود، چیئرمین ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف آرکیٹیکچر نے وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر کو ان کے دفتر میں آرکیٹیکس جنوبی پنجاب کنونشن 2023 کے حوالے سے شیلڈ اور سرٹیفکیٹ پیش کیا۔ یہ شیلڈ اور سرٹیفکیٹ گورنر پنجاب و چانسلر انجینئر محمد بلیغ الرحمان نے گزشتہ ہفتے بہاولپور میں منعقد ہونے والے جنوبی پنجاب آرکیٹیکٹس کنونشن کے موقع پر اس شعبے میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی گرانقدر خدمات کے اعتراف میں عطا کیا تھا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر، وائس چانسلر، اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاولپور نے اے آر محمد عارف چنگیزی، چیئرمین پاکستان کونسل آف آرکیٹیکٹس اینڈ ٹاؤن پلانرز اور اے آر ڈاکٹر یاسمین احمد، پاکستان کونسل آف آرکیٹیکٹس اینڈ ٹاؤن پلانرز پنجاب کی ایگزیکٹو کمیٹی کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے اس کنونشن کے بہترین انتظامات اور کاوشوں پر آرکیٹیکٹ ایاز محمود سربراہ شعبہ آرکیٹیکچر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی تعریف کی۔ یہ بات قابل ذکر ہے کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور خطے کی واحد یونیورسٹی ہے جہاں آرکیٹیکچر کا شعبہ قائم ہے اور علاقے میں آرکیٹیکچر کی تعلیم اور تحقیق میں نمایاں کردار ادا کر رہا ہے۔ اس شعبہ میں بیچلر آف آرکیٹیکچر 5 سالہ مستند ڈگری پروگرام جاری ہے جو پاکستان آرکیٹیکٹس اینڈ ٹاؤن پلانرز کونسل سے منظور شدہ ہے۔
