About

Muhammad Sajad received his M. Sc. (Hons) Agriculture in Plant breeding & Genetics from University of Agriculture Faisalabad in 2004 and joined Foundation Seed Cell, Punjab Seed Corporation, Khanewal. In 2009, Joined Dept. of Plant Breeding and genetics, UCA & ES, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. He earned his MPhil and PhD (Plant breeding and Biotechnology) from University of Alberta, Canada and The National University of Malaysia in 2013 and 2019, respectively.

Research Interests

Plant biotechnology, Molecular plant breeding, Stress breeding, Relative gene expression using qRT-PCR, Gene silencing using miRNA overexpression approach.

Awards and Honors

1. Won “Best Presenter Award” at “The 15th Symposium of Malaysian, Society of Applied Biology 2018” held on June 30 to July 01, 2018 at Melaka, Malaysia.
2. Faculty development (FDP) award to pursue PhD studies abroad.
3. Won “Employee of the Year award 2007” while serving as Assistant Director Research/Agriculture Officer, Punjab Seed Corporation, Perowal, Khanewal.
