Musadiq Idris is a Lecturer of Physiology in the Faculty of Veterinary & Animal Sciences. Musadiq recently completed his PhD degree in Veterinary Science (Physiology and Behaviour) from The University of Queensland, Australia. Musadiq worked on the non-invasive tools to assess cattle responses to hot environmental conditions (Heat stress) as a doctoral research project.

Musadiq's dynamic career research platform is based on the physiology (behaviour & stress), endocrinology (reproductive & stress), animal health and welfare. Musadiq's research team is not only limited to established researchers but also comprises supervised Bachelor’s, Honours, Masters and Ph.D. students including numerous volunteer students.

Musadiq has on-going research collaborations nationally and internationally (e.g. Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chilli, China, Hong-Kong, Turkey, and the USA).

Previously, Musadiq has served as a veterinary officer in Livestock & Dairy Development Department, Punjab Pakistan.

His research is conceptually driven with a multidisciplinary and integrative approach. He has worked on different research projects across a range of species including deer, poultry, and cattle. Musadiq Idris places a huge emphasis on collaboration, training, and professional development.

Research Interests

• Musadiq is interested in physiology (stress & behaviour), endocrinology, animal stress responses, welfare and productivity.
  Musadiq is interested in the use of physiological tools, especially non-invasive approaches to assess animal’s stress responses to improve their welfare and sustainable production.
