About

Dr. Zahida Batool completed her Ph.D from well reputed international institution, University of Surrey, UK in 2014. She has experience in cutting edge technologies of condensed matter Physics in optoelectronics and nanotechnology role in diagnose, treatment of abnormalities in human body. She has various publications in prestigious journals as well as book chapters in the field of Photonics and Biomaterials. She is honorable recipient of research grants from higher education commission of Pakistan under NRPU 2017 worth >10-million PKR. She was awarded with various prizes/ awards particularly with Best researcher of the year 2013 of University of Surrey, UK on the basis her research. Her publications were also selected as top cited articles of JAP of year 2012 as well as special issue article of 2015.

Research Interests

Synthesis and characterization of novel Nanoparticles as theranostic Biomarkers for cancer. Nonmaterial for their applications in water and environmental treatment, Investigating energy efficient materials for optoelectronics applications(i.e. LEDs, Solar cells, Lasers, etc) for their potential in medical and environment.
