Profile Summary

Dr Ahmad Bilal serves the department of Applied Psychology at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan in the position of Professor. Dr Bilal is the first and only Pakistani psychologist to qualify the European Accreditation Exam for Psychosexology and bestowed with the prestigious title of European Certified Psychosexologist (ECPS). He represents Pakistan on the Global Outreach Committee of ISSM. Previously, he also served as member on the Developing Countries Committee of ISSM. Moreover, he is serving as member on the Committee 16 of ICSM for developing a technical and scientific report on the management of PGAD/GPD. He had the honor to chair the Research Ethics Board of Pakistan Association of Cognitive Therapists (2021-22).
Dr Bilal is currently working on the project entitled “Identification of Problematic Technology Use in Young Adults and Development of Culturally Sensitive Model of Integrated Cognitive Behavior Therapy” funded by the ORIC, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan.
He enjoys the memberships of APA, ISSM, ESSM, and SASSM. Dr Bilal serves as a peer reviewer for a dozen international journals, half of which are IF journals. Currently, he is the Chief Editor of an open-access quarterly HEC recognized Y category journal, “Journal of Professional & Applied Psychology” (ISSN:2710-2793(e) 2710-2785(p).
