Profile Summary

Ms. Ammara Maryam is a passionate Biochemistry Lecturer with 5 years of experience in teaching and research in the field of human molecular genetics. She obtained her MS degree in Biomedical Sciences from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad. She is currently working on her Ph.D research project titled " Elucidation of Genetic Basis of a Rare Neurodevelopmental Disorder in Southern Punjab, Pakistan" in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan. She detected novel spliced variants of ASPM in Microcephalic patients of Southern Punjab, Pakistan. Her research aims to provide an opportunity for developing targeted therapeutic approaches for genetic disorders. She has participated in various national and international conferences & training workshops. She is dedicated to mentoring students and preparing them for successful careers in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology.
