About

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Anjum Aqueel has worked on tritrophic interactions under supervision of Prof. Dr. Simon R. Leather in Imperial College London, UK. Ecology of insects and their biological control; investigations of predator-prey and paiasitoid-host interactions and Apiculture became his research interest. He has been supervising research students (Ph.D. and M.Phil.) on biological control of insect-pests since March 2011. His PhD students were interested in controlling Wax moth and Varroa mites, rearing of queens and artificial feeding in honeybee colonies and higher trophic effects of insecticides on foraging activity of honeybees and their colony strength. His other research students have also worked on the efficiency of natural enemies, as a biological control agent to control agricultural insect-pests.
