Profile Summary

I Joined IUB as Lecturer (Gender Studies) in 2010, soon after the launch of Gender Studies as a pioneer faculty member in the program. Currently, I am working as an Assistant Professor of gender studies since 2021. I have completed a master's in Women's Studies from the Department of Gender Studies, University of Punjab, and an M.Phil in Political Science from IUB. My main areas of teaching are feminist theories, feminist anthropology, feminist research methods, and gender and development. My primary research interests are gender and economic agency, gender-based violence, masculinities and cultural violence, women/gender peace and security; gender, affective politics, and embodiment. Other than teaching I am In charge examination of Gender Studies and working as a section editor for the Journal "Political Horizon" and as Co-Editor of "Pakistan Gender Review (PGR) a journal by the department of gender studies. I am also looking after the matters of students affairs as Deputy DSA for the Faculty of Social Sciences and mentoring the Social Sciences Students Society.
