Profile Summary

Dr. Asma Majeed is an enthusiastic person, currently working as an assistant professor in Institute of Agro-Industry & Environment, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. She has over four years of experience in teaching and research with a flexible style of guidance to cater all students and abilities. She acquired her B.S, M.S and Ph.D degree in Environmental Sciences from University of the Punjab, Lahore. She won merit scholarship for her B.S and earned 1st Position in M.S program. She was also awarded HEC indigenous scholarship for her Ph.D. Currently she is working on various aspects related to Environmental problems and solutions including Integrated waste management and solid waste modelling, water pollution and relevant solutions, GIS, Environmental Impact Assessment and Occupational Health & Safety. She has published many national and international research and review articles and participated in national and international conferences. She has won two project as PI and worked as an individual consultant for an international project. Dr. Asma Majeed is an HEC approved supervisor currently supervising many M.S students. She is a self-driven and motivated person who is keen to contribute positively related to various neglected environmental aspects of society.
