About

Ms. Bushra working as a “Lecturer” in Department of Soil Science, since April 6, 2022. Previously, she worked as “Associate Lecturer” in Department of Soil Science from October 10, 2020 to April 5, 2022. She has completed her MSc (Hons) Soil Science from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad in 2016. She is enrolled in Ph.D Soil Science with dissertation title “Reclamation of mine tailing by using crop residues and PGPR”. She is well experience to work in microbial mediated soil and environmental bioremediation, heavy metal sorption and transformation by exopolysaccharide, Soil Microbiology, Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria for Sustainable Agriculture, Soil and Plant nutrients management. She has published more than 10 research articles in reputed journals with cumulative impact factor 32. She has also published a book chapter and a review article. She has supervised 6 BSc (Hons) and 2 MSc (Hons) students. She was co-supervising many bachelor and master of honors students. She is also engaged in several departmental research work and other assignments. She is “Incharge of Student Affairs (ISA)” in Department of Soil Science and co-advisor of “IUB-Science Promotion Society” since November 23, 2021 to date.

Bioremediation of heavy metals, Soil fertility, Soil Microbiology, Heavy metal sorption and transformation, Biochemical characterization of exopolymeric molecules in bacterial culture, X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) analysis, DNA identification, Polymerase Chain Reaction, HPLC analysis
