About

Dr. Aisha Mahmood is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur-Pakistan since 20th January, 2021. She has completed her DVM degree in 2012 from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, MPhil degree in Physiology from Inst. of Pharmacy, Physiology & Pharmacology, Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, in 2014 and PhD degree in Physiology from Inst. of Pharmacy, Physiology & Pharmacology, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, in February 2019. Moreover, she has done part of her PhD research from Texas A&M University, USA under IRSIP (International Research Support Initiative Program) through HEC in 2018. Her primary area of research is nutrigenomics and investigating metabolic disorders. Her research work includes investigating the Physiological aspects of high fat diet induced metabolic stress in rats. Moreover, she has also worked on the Effect of protein, probiotics and vitamin (C and E) on cell mediated immunity, humoral immunity and serum chemical profile of molted White Leghorn breeder males during her MPhil research.

Previously she worked as lecturer in the Department of Physiology & Biochemistry, in Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur, from November 2018.
