About

I completed my PhD degree in Entomology from university of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan in October, 2016. During my PhD degree program, I also worked in the Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) funded research project and worked with eminent scientists of University of California Riverside, CA, USA for 6 months. My area of research includes the microbial control of insect pests of fruits, vegetables and pests of economically important crops.

In February, 2017 I joined College of Agriculture, BZU, Bahadur Sub-Campus, Layyah as an Assistant Professor on contractual basis (IPFP) for one year. During this period I completed a 0.5 million project funded by Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan. In 2017 again, I visited the US to attend the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Society for Invertebrate Pathology, held in University of California San Diego, CA, USA.

From Jan-2018 to May-2020 I worked as a visiting faculty at Bahadur campus and Bahauddin Zakariya University main campus. I was involved in research and teaching in both Campuses, and supervising undergraduate students.

In June-2020, I joined Asian Development Bank project through CAB International and in Jan-2021, I joined IUB as an Assistant professor in the Department of Entomology

Research Interests

Integrated pest management (IPM), Microbial control of insect pests.

• Approved Ph.D. Supervisor Higher Education Commission, Islamabad, Pakistan.
• Awarded with travel grant for “50^th Annual Meeting and Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Society for Invertebrate Pathology” held in University of California San Diego” La Jolla, California in 2017.
• Awarded “International Research Support Initiative Program (IRSIP)” Training in 2015 by HEC.
• Indigenous Scholarship Holder (2011) Awarded by Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad, Pakistan.
